First attempt at fimming

So I do have some experience with low stress training, I have had a couple of monsters with multiple colas using this method. After reading more into this site again (after 8 years) and have read a lot about fimming. I just took a pair of tweezers and pinched about half of the new growth off. (I did this the day after repotting into bigger pot so it was probably in shock a bit) first picture is right before fimming, following pics are after 3 days. 24 hrs 2×26 watt cfls, 1is 6500k other is 2700k. I plan on getting 2 more 6500k (to equal 3) and use 5 or 6 2700k to flower with. How does this sound? My previous experience was with t8 fluros and hps.

I prefer just topping, with fimming you can get some haggled up looking new growth. As to your lights, I would get more. You say you've flowered with hps before... why are you not going to now? 2 26 watt cfls aren't going to get you very far. Even if you bump it up to the 6 you're planning on thats only 156 watts or so. It can work but don't expect a whole lot out of that plant.

Thanks for the input. I lived with a friend before and we had a while room designated. Now I am living in a one bedroom apartment with my girlfriend, and it was a very unplanned grow haha.

I fim my ladies at the 4th node and they absolutely loved it, now they have 6 to 8 tops each!
