This thread was in the Grow journals section but not one person would comment on it. I'm looking for some friendly feedback and I think I'll find it with the fellow CFL growers.

Hey, I've been growing my plants for a while now and I've decided its high time I start a grow journal on them.

Strains: Biggest plant= G13 NL X Skunk
Next biggest plant=Kushberry X Skunk
2 smaller plants=LA Confidential X Skunk

My NL was feminized but I was lucky enough to have 3 out of the 4 non feminized freebies end up female. I put the male outside in the ground to learn from it about outdoor growing.

Over the past few months, as I've gone through this first grow, I've learned ALOT.
Anyway back to the grow. The NL was vegged for 2 months and I've topped and LST'd her. The others are younger and growing normally.

Soil: Fox Farms Ocean Forrest
Nutrients: Iguana Juice grow and bloom + unsulfured molasses of course
Lights: 1 68 watt 2700k, 3 42 watt 2700k, 3 27 watt 5500k, 2 26 watt 6500k bulbs
Water: distilled

Its a rubbermaid stealth grow in my basement

Started 12/12 on April 20th

Feel free to comment in my journal. Below are some picture I have taken and posted in threads along the way. I'll try to do them in chronological order.

Since last time, I've LST'd my NL a little bit more to get more of an even canopy and I've added another 27 watt 5500k bulb and another 42 watt 2700k bulb. The NL is really starting to bud. Pistils are everywhere and I'm really excited about that.

Not too strong of a smell yet luckily.

I haven't seen any trichomes yet.

In the picture of the inside of the bin, the Kushberry is on the bottom left, the LA Confidentials are in the top left and right corners, and everything else is the NL

Seriously, any tips, pointers, suggestions, you guys have, people don't hesitate to post it. This is my first grow

In terms of the update, the plants are growing great and I just noticed the development of the trichomes on the northern lights. They're pretty frosty

I took these pictures on my cellphone camera so the quality isn't not the best. The first two pics are comparison between 3 days ago and now. Same with the 3rd and 4th photos. I love my light setup right now :leaf: :leaf::leaf:

Just checked on my plants and they look and smell great. the smell is like a mix between fuel and citrus...Idk why. Anyway, trichs are really coming in.

Anyone have a ballpark guess as to how much I might yield?

Went down to water my plants today and there was good and bad. It didn't like the mix of my hydro nutes (iguana juice), which turns the PH to about 5.4, and molasses. Today I watered with distilled water which I know they will appreciate.

They look and smell fantastic.

More updates with pictures coming soon,

Can someone show a brotha some love?

:-o:-o Thanks so much. I'm really proud of it as its my first grow. Do you or anybody know will become of the almost burnt buds who has had it happen to them before?

hey whats up. your grow is going real nice so far. looking at the pic of the almost burnt ones... i can say something like that happened to me one night. the side that was touching just got a little crispy, but since it was still growing like crazy the affected area just grew out and wasnt a problem

Hey everyone. I just went to water my plants and the growth is slow, I think because my PH was too low. The PH of my water/nutes/molasses was 5.4ish so I went out and bought some PH up. Hopefully that'll fix the problem.

They started to smell outside of the growbox so I put one of my ONA Pro blocks outside of the setup and almost immediately the weed smell was gone.

Also, I replaced one of the 5500k 27 watt bulbs with a 2700k 32 watt bulb.

Pic 1 is of the lighting setup
Pic 2 is of the Kushberry
Pic 3 is of the 2 tops that got almost burned before. It shows more on one than the other, but they're both recovering :lol:bongsmilie:lol:

Anyone know how to get the humidity down without a dehumidifier? Its in the high 60's right now.

Its been awhile and my camera has gotten worse. I have been suffering from watering with a low PH and not adjusting it. Also, I'm afraid I might develop bud rot on some of the buds or leaves due to the constant 85-100% humidity in my basement. I'm not sure what to do but I might will my grow box with rice to absorb moisture like a desiccant. Idk if this would attract bugs though.

Here are to pictures of my plant. Sorry about the bad quality

Looking good man, it's really nice to see other higher wattage CFL'ers out there. The rice will probably do the trick just replace it often to avoid attracting pests. Also A/C's will lower humidity if temps are also an issue but I would just buy a dehumidifier as you want 30ish% humidity during flower. If you do use rice keep an eye out for weavils as it will attract them. Digging your light setup +rep. Good luck and happy growing.

I've started using AN overdrive because I am in the last few weeks of flower. The PH problems are no longer getting worse as I have figured out how to correctly adjust my water.

The NL is going to yield alot of great bud. Its really frosty now with lots of bud.
The Kushberry is THICK
The 2 LA confidentials are filling in and are the 2 most healthy plants.

First 2 pics are of inside grow box
Pic 3-6 are of Kushberry. Does anyone think this is anything other than a low PH?
The rest are of the NL

Mostly everything is going well. I have been watering with first a little bit of spring water to wash out the old nutrients, then I water with 1 gallon of water, full dose of iguana juice grow (3 tsp/gallon), 3/4 dose of Advanced Nutrients Overdrive (a little under 2 tsp/gallon), a spoonful of Grandma's unsulphured molasses, and API aquarium PH up.

First 4 pics are individual shots of each plant in the following order: LA Confidential 1, LA Confidential 2, Kusnberry, Northern Lights.

Pics 5-7 are of the Kushberry's dying leaves. It's budding fairly vigorously but these fan leaves keep on dying from the bottom up. Does anyone know what this is?????????

8 and 9 are of inside the growbox

I think some strains do this, their leaves die as the budding progresses. Their looking great. But, on a side note how did you know those other two budding spots were too close to the light? I couldn't tell by the pictures.

Look back at the pictures again. The two that got too close to the light are much lighter in color and the leaves are curling a little bit on the top of the nug

I have flushed all of the plants for their last 1-2 weeks. Just added silica gel to lower humidity which was causing bud rot.

Temperature: 75
Humidity: 50%

Everything looking healthy. Sorry no pics this time
