First cfl grow

the plants seem to be doing better. Ive been watering more than usuall and daily, and they are finally starting to grow... and perked up. The lighting is getting off ever so slightly. Last week it was 11:37 pm - 11:37 am; now its 11:36pm - 11:36am.

I have some mollases, and a 20oz bottle, how much should I guessingly add in the water? Im too lazy to measure. Should the water be transparent? real dark? or what?

I think for the next week I am going to water with 10oz a day on both plants... they have been dieing of thirst for so long.

I just worked on the grow setup for over 45 minutes... went in the closet, shut the door, and boom im in a space of about 8 cubic feet of moveable area. Took so long to move things around. But finally I got the bucket out and layered miricale grow soil over it, 3 month food. Same as it was originally in, but the last transplant I had to use Dollar General topsoil... horrible... turns to literally a rock with water... and will kill sprouts.

I also watered it again, so now the soils almost to the top of the bucket, I put the soil way up on the plants covering a lot of deadness. They look really short now, 6" at most I would say... but atleast theyre still alive.

yes I know the above picture is very horrible... I should have taken a better one... but I just took that one and said fuck it.

I will probably take a picture tonight, to show how much better, though smaller, they look.

how tall are they now and how tall before flowering?

mmm, not sure, the 2 month old one is less than 8" I would say, and the one planted easter is a bit taller [though unhealthy].

do they look like theyre even budding or anything? I am almost positive they arent males, no balls or anything. But I havent seen anything distinctly female either... except I cant really tell, is the top growing as normal? theres like a big lump of slim things growing from the top and theres like literally a big ball that theyre growing in... but I dont see preflowers [though I still dont clearly know what to look for]...

My plants are dead.

On May 31, my computer died. I was then busy salvaging data and building a new computer. The plants started to shrink, and leafs were so small, and the plant wasnt even growing, or flowering, idk what happend. A few days ago, I just said screw it, unplugged the lights, and the fan.

This wont be my last grow though, I will do a better job next time, not so ghetto rigged .

Yeah, I was doing a good job at the start, and I invested over $200 in this, all those cfls and crap I bought. Over 50 hours of work too, cleaning the closet every week, all the new setups [I went through 5 in 5 months], all the transplants... all the daily pictures.

I think what I learned from this is, I need a FAT ASS pot for 1 plant, I put a tiny ass plant in this huge ass 4-5 gal bucket, had about 2-3 gal of soil, and in a week, it had outgrown it. The plant was just barely 6" tall, 30 days old.

It was about 68-74 days old when it died... it was flowering over half of its life, and not 1 sign of gender 0_o.

Brokenhope, I 's sorry you lost them, ae you 100% sure they can not be revived? I've seen plants with NO leaves come back and rejuvenate.
Man, now is the time to go HYDRO. My two month old plants were like a foot and ahalf tall from seed.
You can get a 5 gal bucket, a $5 air pump, a $4 air stone, a styrafoam cup and some rocks and grow a monster plant. It is much easier and ten times faster than soil. a DIY Hydro is in the GROWFAQ.

A hydro grow sounds awesome. I hope to do something like that around my 3rd grow. Prob gonna stick to soil for Grow 2. But, I wouldn't be so quick to give up on soil. My plants are about a foot tall from seed, day 35 and am expecting them to be at least 18" by day 56. So the potential is definitely there. Good luck with whatever you choose.
