well I am sure they will get over it, lol, and then will thrive with their new awakening :)
They better or we are going to have problems :). I expected them to respond a little slower but they are super happy. Another thing I am glad about is the fact that I can feed and water more frequently now. Maybe I make my avatar a can of busch beer from now on...sheesh! Pictures soon stay tuned!

Here are a few pics of the G13 and a couple with the new ballast working as it should. Hope everyone here at RIU is making it a great weekend. If you go back a few pages you will see the difference with the new ballast.

Looks good! A little stretched maybe, but looking good otherwise. If all you had was a ballast that could run HPS, why not get a MH conversion bulb? And G13 as in 200 bucks for 3 seeds G13?

I got the setup from my brother, he originally bought everything. He used to veg under t5 and then flower with hps. The ballast that was replaced was a radeon 400w mh/hps dimmable. Pretty much, a cheap chinese lumatek knock-off. It never would run mh and the shop it was purchased from offered to exchange it. Only problem is that it is a full day to go to the store and get back. No time. So I just ran it this grow cause it's what I had and figured I would buy a new for the next grow. Since it died, I replaced it with the HF xtrasun 400w mh/hps magnetic ballast. The difference in just a few days is night and day. The reason they look so stretched is b/c the other ballast was a pos and never powered the bulb up all the way. Now it gets warm in the box, haha.

As far as the cost of the beans I couldn't tell you. I got mine as clones from a good friend and grower who had seed. My understanding of the strain, at least what I've read, is that the true g13 is clone only. Not to say seeds aren't out there, a seed is easier to secret out of uom or the pharm co. that grows it than a clone is. I'm not a big sativa guy, but I do like this one and was offered all for free so I couldn't pass. Before I added them room wasn't much of an issue, now I'm gonna be tying then down for sure. Good problem to have though!

Everything looks good, you have alot growing now. Shit happens as for your other problems(lamp, ballast, etc...)
My mantra is K.I.S.S.

Peace Bro !!

Thanks gersman I try to keep it simple, just a few hiccups getting back in the saddle.

nice & green they r, happy easter!
Thanks bro. Things are definitely turning around now that the ballast issue is handled. Good to go for the next run though. I will be modding the box some more and changing a few things for the next run. I may just buy a tent and call it good.

Yep, I got lucky for sure on the Hindu Kush seed :-Ds. the g13, and heavy duty fruity are all clones. Thanks for the post and sub +rep to you as well.

This is to anyone, how much rep do you have "spread around" before you can give more?

Alright guys and gals, here is a pic of my idea to streamline things a bit for me. I currently do not have a separate veg area and would like one. I am rooting my clones and germing seeds in a 10x20 tray w/ a 7" dome w/ adjustable vents on the sides and top. I don't like the non-vented domes, better humidity and airflow control in my opinion. As my VERY crude sketch shows the clone box will be a complete stand alone unit. There will be a shelf to separate rooted cutting/seedlings and new cuttings, etc. Dimensions for all are as follows:

clone- 3'L x 2'W x3'H
veg- 3.5'L x 3'W x 5'H (current box cut down)
bloom- 4'L x4"W x 6'8"H (4x4 tent)

If you look closely, my plan so far calls for both 400w fixtures to be vented through one line and then air exchange through both veg and bloom with a second, then connected to a "y" fitting and then terminating through my carbon filter. The idea is to have as few components as possible. I didn't address all the ancillary components as I'm mostly concerned about heat management and air exchange. The rest will be tweaked per box (fans for air movement, controllers, timers, etc.). I will have portable air conditioners to keep ambient room temps in check. Let me know what you think and please feel free to share your ideas based on personal experience.

looks good, but i would use a fan/filter an controller for each veg/flower tent. if you pull air from your veg tent the air will be already heated some before it goes into the flower tent.

I thought about that too, but I am going to try to run it on one fan. I will do a dry run first with everything firing to double check. If I have to I will have an extra fan just in case I may also use an existing 8" fan I have instead of the 6" I am currently running. I already have the reducer to make it work. After more consideration I may also leave the 3rd clone box out and just divide the existing one to save space. As a side note it's funny to see how much I have decided to change my setup since starting. I will be honest setting up full rooms is easier for sure. Same as fish tanks, bigger is always easier, just more cash to fork out. Please keep the ideas and suggestions coming...

if your going to run 2-400watters use a T or Y and pull from each tent, instead of threw 1 tent into the other. or the bigger cfm fan if using 2 fan on the mh not the hps, because the mh puts out more heat.

Thanks, I thought about that too, at least it sounds the same in my head (famous last words), I will draw another "professional" sketch tomorrow for your review, just to make sure our heads are in the same place. :)

if i was to run 2 tents with just 1 fan instead of 2 i would run mine like this ^^^
Looks like we are on the same page. only thing is that I will run my filter after the fan so that I don't have to buy 2. I'm going to run the goblin carbon scrubber. less than $100. I was planning on making my own but I just don't feel like it. I have an ozone generator built in to my air purifier and it is handling the odor for now. goblin should be online sometime this week or beginning of next, I just need to pick it up. I also re-ran my ducting on the current box and wow 2 degrees cooler. I had it rigged and not properly sealed as I was waiting to get the right ducting in. I try to buy everything from my local shop, besides, he will match or beat ANY price I bring him on anything. I just helped a friend setup his 400w, 4x4 tent and he was out the door for less than 8bills for everything. Quality equipment too, not the cheap chinese knock off crap. More pics soon. I'm going to try and only post new pics weekly just to make it easier for me to track progress.
