Hard to walk without training. I have spent approx $1000 on training using 'bah' training. It's the best money I have ever spent. I don't walk her anymore, I get on my push bike and ride 7kms. She runs, and by the time I get home, she wants to go AGAIN!!!! Just can't win lol

Ok I wanna fire up the DWC setup and get a nut and PH level stable ready for seedlings.

I'm just curious at exactly what height should I feel the res up to? Until it's just touching the base of the pots, or half way up?

my 0.2 would be (now rember i aint grown nothing indoors yet lol) would be to run a test--throw a sample RW cube in the Net Pot fill with the rest of the space up with hydraton as per norm then drop it in, raise the water level to 20-25mm below bottom of net cup, bubble her up and check every 15-1/2hr and see how moist or wet the RW cube is getting, it all really depends on how violent the bubbles are popping?

To the bottom of the net pots...and the bigger pump is a must and I agree about air stones diffusers get dirty and are hard to clean. No one said anything about water chillers yet...lol I use a product called dutch master zone I recommend you get some before you start. But that's just my 3 pennies. Good growing and real clean work

Cheers brother,

I am using air-stones although their size is questionable. However, I'll see how I go.

Have set her up and keep eye on PH levels prior to planting

Yeah as much as I'd like to claim the idea as my own, I can't :p I was browsing on another forum and saw this method used. Thought I'd give it a crack! It was fiddly as all buggery, but it worked out well in the end.

System is running with basic nutes, and stable PH. Will monitor for next couple of days and hopefully roots would have pushed through the rockwool

Very neat tub bro. She your veg porn with us buddy :) Wonder where u got the idea of the setup? Some bubbleponics seems like you got going. Never heard a larger tub is easier to control PH. Sounds right tho since I adjust my PH on the 5gal buckets once a day at least. I got a 17gal tote I could use on the next grow and prob will since it gives them more space for roots to grow. Subbed in nonetheless!

Thanks mate,

The methodology behind the large the mass, the easier it is to look after is used in many things. For example, if you were to heat a spa to 30 degree's celcius, and also heat a kettle to 30 degree's celcius; the moment you removed the heat source which one would cool down faster? The smaller mass. The larger mass will hold it's temperature much better. Same goes for P.H. If you had a Jar full of water and dropped a brown leaf in there then within a week, your water quality is going to be severely affected. If it was in a 50L tub, the P.H is likely to take a hit at a minimal level and would take a number of weeks for the leaf to have any real affect. All works on the same principle. Although I wish the larger the house, the easier it was to clean :p haha

hahaha cheers man.

Seeds have popped out of the cube, but no tap roots showing yet. Will give it another day and will throw the bag seed test dummies through the system

I use clear tube as well for air into my DWC, I just wrapped about 6 inches of tube outside the tub in electrical tap to close out any light before reaching inside.

Wow man that a nice tub you must of put a lot of effort into it can tell :) and spot on with the PHs i keep fish and one tanks a 600Gal another a 25gal, once the big one was setup and everything running smooth (nitrates and all that shit with) it stays like that much easier requires more to stuff it up as your working with a bigger mass the 25gal well its a breading tank and most of the babies die due to the diseases getting into the water so easy, But the bigger the better with water :) Nice job again hope it turns out well.

Cheers man.

I have some seedlings in there, but they are struggling with the ambient temperature of the shed. It doesn't bother me though as they are responding well to the PH and nutes, but as it's bag seed it's merely a test. A couple of months to go before temps drop and I'll be able to control the climate quite well.

Will post with pictures once I'm happy with it's progression and a new batch of seeds are used
