First ever grow - Fridge grow

Rhizotonic is a veg nute. It's only nitrogen. Builds good root systems. But pk13/14 is great for flower.

Yeah I was thinking of just using it for a short time, I have heard of some people using it for the first time in flowering and getting good results from it.... Can't really hurt can it? The nutes arrived today and I will be giving them a feed tomorrow. Any tips on mixing them up? I was just going to put the rhizoctonic cannazym and pk13-14 first then add the a + b

Hey Willy, thanks for inviting me over....in short it looks like you've undergone quite a learning experience and commendations are in order. I only wished I could have joined earlier...I saw the Styrofoam cups you started in and thought back to my early days of growing. I blamed my issues on static electricity on the styro....as every time I grabbed the cup to water I felt a shock. Once I moved to plastic beer cups (with hempy holes) the world was a better place for young plants. Say, the PK 13/14 mentioned in the post before is a real life changer. With it there is a timing you need to spot....end of week 4 or start of week 5 in flower you will notice all the little puff ball buds start to "connect-up" forming the main cola. Thats when you add PK13/14 for 7-10 days (3 feedings for me). Drop your base nute a couple of ml/gal to...it's a little on the hot side. You won't believe the change in just 24 hours. Beats a bunch of bud building additives to if you like things simple....keep up the good work. I'll see this to the finish.

I just got the pk 13-14 a couple of days ago so that's good to know. Thanks for explaining when to do it aswell. I have pk13-14, rhizotonic (which I think ill just add 1ml for the next couple of weeks) and cannazym. Didnt get canna boost... Will that affect yield much?

I'm on day #9 now and I wil post another update soon. But things are going well so far. Already done one feeding with rhizotonic and a couple of foliar feeds (using rhizo also) after tying down the plants a fair bit. Plants responded well and look as good as they have so far.

Willy, Rhizo and Cannazyme are staples for me..and I wouldn't grow without them in hempy buckets.....as for Boost, treat it as a "nice to have" on your first grow with perlite based on expense. Later on you will wonder about the expense of it and whether it does anything or whether it was just your first grow's limitations...I personally would wait till you get a grow dialed in all the way up to 12/12 flip...then dump Boost in there for that "over the top" bud....I need to talk you into some coco hempy's eventually...it's a killer medium for hempy buckets where all the Canna products rock out. If you follow the originator, Dali Hempy's threads on other forums you will see his move from perlite to coco and his results. That's what got me into this whole thing with coco and even other mediums like rockwool and couch foam. The hempy bucket in itself is a miraculous thing considering it's simplicity.

I was actually considering using coco as my medium at the beginning, but somehow ended up going 100% perlite, mainly for simplicity. I think I will definitely experiment with new mediums in the near future, and coco is definitely one of those mediums. I have seen Dali hempys transition from perlite to coco and it definitely seems superior.

I think I will wait on the boost like you suggest. The hempy bucket really is great. I can't see myself switching to any other method anytime soon. It's just so easy and effective. Eventually I would like to get an automated feeding system going, maybe on my next grow I will experiment with some things.

pic of fridge open, the little one is an attempted clone. i took it off one of the 2 white widow x big bud seedlings (that i threw out because they were totally screwed up). just an experiment to see what happens to the clone under 12/12 lighting.. apparently it can work just takes way longer to root.

as you can also see im running out of room to raise the light, gonna do some lsting today for the last time i think aswell

Willy, any way the buckets could be dropped into the sub-floor of the fridge? Looks like there's almost a foot of space below them...that would buy you some more canopy height.

You are right that there is about a foot of room. I was thinking about doing what you said, or to make it into a little vegging area. Not sure which would be more useful...

Next grow, mainline 'em and you'll have plenty of room above and below

It looks like you'll have enough though. Take out the yoyos eventually, just attach the lamp directly to the roof, that gives another few inches..

I just did a fair bit of tying down and weaving and the budsites look better positioned (at least I think so). I think I will be ok for height.. May have to take off the yoyos, not sure yet.

Also, just an update.
basically everything below the scrog and areas I thought wouldn't get enough light are now trimmed. Things are going well and I will update with pics in a few days or so. I am looking forward to when I have to start using the pk13-14. Also curious as to what my yield will be.... Would 3 ounces be a realistic estimate?
I would be quite happy if I could get around 4, although I don't think my scrog screen is big enough.
