logan- theres many ways to cloning! ive got a friend who goes real simple with a normal hydrohut tray. he takes grow cubes, cuts them to desired shape for tray, takes a branch and cuts it with enough room to fit in the cube and have about 3 inch of growth, then dips them in a rooting hormone such as rootone. once dipped they go into the cubes and into the trays, getting water every few days, just enough so they dont turn yellow. i on the other hand go a little further and made a mixture of rockwool and an aero cloner. i took two tubs, cut 2 inch squares in the lid of one and place each of my clones taken like previously mentioned above each opening. then use the other tub as a lid, i drilled holes to allow air flow. the bottom tub is filled with water and a mix of hormone and tiny amount of nutes if wanted, also a bubbler to give the roots plenty of H20. the roots go from the cubes on the lid into the water allowing lots of root growth before transplant and work good for use in bubblers or other hydroponic grows. theres also cloners you can purchase that are real simple to operate. theres also certain things you can do like shaving some parts of the stem to allow hormones to enter plant easier and making sure every stem that goes into a cube has atleast one node that was chopped and dipped in hormone. hope this helps.
