I'm new to growing but I'm jumping right in ..
I've invested about 4,000$ Into supplies but I envision this being a long term endeavor me . I've never gardened anything before but I find this intriguing as hell . Under my led are super lemon haze , lemon haze and bubba kush , white rhino .
I started with a 600 watt metal halide but upon researching LEDs I took the leap and picked up this 1000 watt for 1700$ which is insane for a light but in the long term between yields and energy savings I think it's gonna be worth it

My girls are 4 weeks old at this point and have been fairly healthy so far

I got them into bigger pots today 6.5 gallon which should be sufficient for an Indoor grow from what I've read
I'm growing 2 of them in water farms and 3 In coco and the coco seems to be the best in my opinion so for future grows I'm sticking to coco I think unless something happens along the way to change my mind .
But currently coco is definitely showing promise as the plants seem to thrive in it .

I'm using an aggressive nutrient mix and have yet to experience any issues with nutrient burn although today I noticed a few symptoms of possible too much nitrogen so I'm going to address that .
I'm self teaching and watching quite a few you tube videos that have been helpful .

Soon I plan to make a few of my own documenting my grow and my errors and solutions .
I'm open to Input from experienced growers as well as questions from other new growers

Hey bud! I'm new as well! This is my first grow. 100% organic. 2 weeks into flower as of today and the girls are looking beautiful! I got a journal setup on here, I started it just yesterday but I've got another journal on another forum, that's where I started.

What are you using for nutes? Salt based or organic?

Salt based , General Hydroponics with some additional supplements like Cal -mag
Rapid Start , few other things .
So far so good though . They are looking healthy .. I topped them yesterday and I have a couple of cuttings that I took a couple of days ago .. They are still alive so that's a positive , surprisingly though they are growing even without roots yet
Keeping them in an Ez clone
However I am noticing some deformation at the leaf tips and some discoloration in the cuttings..not sure what to do to fix that

You can try pure protein dry. It's packed with amino acids for rapid growth. It works wonders! I spray mine once a week. I also spray SEA-90 once a week too.

If you guys don't know about Growmau5 on here and youtube, DIY LED is where it's at! It does cost a good bit and a steep learning curve for most, as far as circuits and terms and what the devices do and how to wire it one way vs the other. Luckily, my background is partly into this subject among many other things (I work on a luxury brand of car for a living, been doing it for many years now). But really, if you can put together an ikea cabinet and gain a basic understanding of how electricity works and are a hands on kinda person, then you can learn all this stuff if you study it for a week or so.

Once I get funding, this will be the first thing I do.

5 weeks old now
noticing some issue with orange spots and some twisting of some leaves ..
some spots that look like rust also and some slightly burnt tips on some leaves and some drooping..
ph is normal
nutrients have been consistent and haven't over fed them
i added som extra cal mag and some phd water yesterday and today they are not drooping and look decent despite the rust spots

do you do any lst or super cropping?

I'd pop like 5-6 of the bigger fan leaves or just defoliate all the bigger fan leaves. The rule of thumb I go by is if the internodal growth is a 1/4" or more then the fan leaf can go. I did this once in veg and I JUST did it again 2 weeks 3 days into flower. The first time I did it in veg, I almost killed myself. I thought they were going to die, so sad looking and weak. The next day I foliar fed them with Pure Protein powder and they fucking took off like a 1200hp GTR haha.

^^^It's that stuff but I get it in a WAY smaller amount (4oz) because you don't need that much. I put 1/2 TBS per quart of water.

Totally. Love supercropping to get a bush. You feel really bad the first time. But you'll learn they bounce back with vengeance. Some strains probably don't like it. But I'm yet to find one.

I was talking about defoliating the plant (removing all fan leaves). Maybe you are too? I took what you said to be all about supercropping? I've never done it, but, I topped my girls at the 5th node to get a bush but they are looking super sexy.
I've been watching a lot of browguy420 on YT. He does a ballin ass no-til setup in green houses. But he shares everything he knows (he switched to organic in pursuit of flavor and quality altogether) but he also openly admits he doesn't know everything (who does?). I just enjoy the info he drops and watching how he does things.

Hows the girls looking Billygreen? Still praying to the sun god?

Still looking good, new growth is looking better which is a plus.
i trimmed some of the lower growth yesterday ..ill have more pics later

to anyone with experience..i know this is a loaded question lol
with a 4x4 tent and my 1000 watt led what kind of yield could i expect
there is 5 five week old plants and two fresh cuttings...as you can tell in pics they are growing nicely
( m not doing much with clones this go around..it was mostly proof of concept for me as i plan to scale up on my next grow) provided this one turns out ok lol
