Looking pretty good. Can't say so much for my plants. Everything under my LEDs either died, or is dying. Not because of the LED, but probably because of the MG soil, and the small containers with poor drainage did it.
Temps could have been better too, it gets down to 57F at lights off sometimes. This was just an experimental grow, so no harm done.
I bought a hydro setup, and I have a 250 watt hps, and will be setting that up soon, and will use the 90 watt LED for mothers and clones. I'll probably do a grow journal. I have been visiting this site for some years now,
just never created an account and made posts until recently. There seems to be a lot of arguing and poor advice on this site, and I want to avoid that. I have seen plenty of times someone trying to do a micro grow in
a PC case with a few CFLs, and came here for advice, and of course the CFL haters had to add their 2 cents, and tell them they need to use HPS. If that is not bad advice, then I do not know what is. How can an HPS
fit into a PC case? Bad advice. Or someone giving an opinion based on their experience growing, and got chewed out by another person who does it differently and feels his way is the only way it can possibly be done.
Too much HPS vs LED, or CFL vs. HPS, or soil vs hydro, indoor vs outdoor. I don't think this site should be a place for people to come argue and belittle others for their efforts.
I think CFLs/LEDs are great, they will work perfect for areas where extra cooling/ducting is not possible. I think HPS is great for those that can accommodate one, good raw power with proven results. Soil in great, as
is hydro. Outdoor is good, as well as indoor. Why? Because it is all for creating that plant we all love. Different methods and different equipment will suite each person differently based on where they will be growing.
Where did you get your seeds? I am looking toward ordering some seeds from Attitude Seed sometime soon. I have been growing the same strain since 1996, which is a cross of some excellent bagseed, and skunk.
Yields are good (I got about 3-4oz from 240 watts T12, and at least 8-10oz from 400 watts T5) Potency is decent too, not sure the THC %, but I am guessing it is fairly high, between 10% and 20%. 11 week flower.
But, there are so many strains out there that are much better, and better yielding, with 8 week flowering. 11 is a little much. The bagseed by itself before it got crossed with skunk, took 14-16 weeks to finish flowering.
