First Grow... A Couple Questions

Hi, I recently started my first grow ever and after some research I went with Mephisto based on their reputation.

It's a small closet grow of just two plants(Forum Stomper and DGx3BOG) in 3 gallon fabric pots(Biobizz light/perlite) under a Roleadro Full Spectrum 3rd Gen 600w(135 actual). Temps are a constant 75-80f with 40-50% humidity and I have a fan going with good air circulation.

I started the grow by watering the pots well with plain water and letting them sit under the light for 24 hours before planting the seeds directly in their final pots. The broke soil 4 days later(yesterday) and I think are looking ok, but I have a couple of questions.

First, how should I go about watering young plants? My plan was to let the pot dry out completely before watering again, but i have been misting the top soil 2 or 3 times a day when it's looking a bit dry. Is this a sound approach?

Also, the DGx3B is looking a little lanky already. Is this genetics or should I lower the light(currently 35-40 inches)?

I'll post a pic of each below, feel free to throw in any advice. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hey Friend.
Good choice on seed company and any thing with Bog genetics is real good. Mephisto has fire OGs.

Treat these like babies. Water only till 2nd true leaf or older. Youve got good soil too. Put your finger in the soil, dont rely on sight alone. But yes misting the soil or baby sips every day.
Babies are like goldilocks. Not too hot, not to cold, not too breezy not too dry and not too cold and wet. I check on mine a couple times a day checking temps in the sprout shed.
Forum stomper and Dgx3bog, you could help it shed the seed shell tomorrow. A little bit of water will help it push it off sometimes the silver skin sticks and needs help. A very gentle squeeze along the seam thats opened should do it. But give it some water and see it it does it on its own. You got to be very gentle!
Dgx3BOG. Looks good, could be genetics.Youve left extra room in your grow bag. Good habit not to fill it to the brim BTW.
I have no experience with led lights. Do some research, but you likely will want to lower the lights.
If it starts to lean or fall over you can prop it up with a cage made from like bread twist tie. And or with the extra room left in the bag, form a mound around it to support it. You can make the mound all the way up to the cotyledons.
