Hi everyone, I am a grower!!! I grew Seedsman fem. White Widow over the past few months in a small closet grow set-up and it turned out better than I expected. I got about a quarter off the tree and really, I was happy I just got it to bud and look so pretty on my first try. My only 2 complaints were yield and harshness. I am adding a b+r LED panel light to the room after the holidays and beginning round 2. Are there any suggestions or techniques to increase yield and reduce the harshness of the smoke?

Also, what are some other good beginning grower strains that will also be a potent smoke. In the near future I plan on expanding the room to have 3-4 plants. Thanks everyone, your input is greatly appreciated.

I know how marijuana enthusiasts like to look at pictures of bud so, here are a few from round one!

suggestions - for yield ditch the leds and add hps lights, add molasses to water while flowering.
for harshness you need to dry/cure longer - at least a couple of weeks

Are HPS lights truly necessary? They are expensive, hot, consume a lot of energy, and put out a heat signature (I live in a small, heavily policed town). Is there anything else or a combination of things that would produce, maybe not as good, but similar results?

hps is the best for yield and efficiency of electricity.

you don't have to worry about cops with a personal grow using say a 600 watt hps.

it is more difficult to cool hps compared to a similar wattage if cfls.

cfl's (compact fluorescent lights) are best for value.

bottom line, if you're on a budget or have difficulties cooling then cfl is the way to go. you'd want about 75 actual watts per square ft of growing area. you won't get as much bud as with hps but you can do pretty good.

before you go to a LED setup... i would first stick to what is tried and true therefore a HPS is the only option that will truely give you what your truely looking for.... weight!

it seems you have got the knack for growing great looking smoke... so perfect your art w/ 150 200 watt hps... then go to LED...

in the pic was grown w/ a 400 hps... when dried she weight 29 grams of bud no stems. the bottom half (not pictured) provided another OZ, 2/3 cups of some really green really strong butter. 2.4 grams hash. and some stem toothpicks

curing-is hang till buds are crisp stems can still green but a little brittle, put in brown paper bag until stems start turning gray couple days, then jar 1st day no lid, after that lid on, burping is automatic cause you'll be taking whiffs of your success frequently... good luck! oh yeah it only gets better every grow!

Oh another question I have... Does anyone out there believe playing music helps plants? I played Zeppelin and Floyd for this plant but I don't know if it really helped, but I like to think it did...

Shit, that second one looks like it needs to be chopped up and snorted.

Nice looking buds man, sweet.
