First Grow:AG Grandaddy purp Clones

what do you think of using a screen on the ag? i was thinking maybe put one up almost to the highest reach of the light so that the plants bush out. just looking for opinions. thanks!
 
it says it on the bulb but the ballast says 175MH.. They are doing great.
A few lower leaves look healthy but have dark spots so i pinched em off.
 
Another update. My PH was off, I had it a little high so i lowered it. That could of caused those wierd leaves and the brown spots on others. My ppm is alot lower now.

I guess my water is hard water, its PPM is around 200 from the tap. I hear General hydro sells hardwater nutes, anyone try those??

Im about to go take some new pictures

What do you use to test your PH? I haven't tested mine yet but also noticed I have a little bit of brown spots. It might have been due to the water in the chamber getting FREEZING cold. I now have a fish heater in there to keep things controlled and the spots have stopped :)

i got a pen one on ebay. works great, cost like 15 bucks.
 
I got up to this point and I really did all my homework on everything BUT flowering!! Guys have any tips to make em better??

I got a newbie question. If the Ph of my tap water is 300 and I want to add nutes of 800 ppm, what do I want my ppm meter to read? 800 or 1100?
 
the PH should be 5.0 to 5.8 for hydro water.. the PPM should be 1100 in your case, however id try to get lower ppm water from bottles or those big machines infront of stores

Do not use that 175W HPS bulb in a ballist that does not specifically say it will work. You cant mix and match bulbs like that..very dangerous!!

They do make digital ballist that will run both aMH bulb and a HPS bulb but even then you would NEVER mix wattages....like you would NEVER put in a 600w HPS bulb in a 400W HPS ballist and so on...they must match or say its acceptable....

Yea im running the 175MH ballast and bulb.. the guys who sold it to me said i can return it after my harvest if im not happy.. Which I will probally do since i want both MH/hps and u can get it for only a little more than i paid..

Here they are, 7 weeks from the beginning. id say 2 weeks into flowering! I know i should keep a better track but im soo damn busy, im doin the best I can.
