Hey everyone. My first grow is ready to get started. I have two Lowryder 2 feminized seeds that are germinated and ready to go. I decided on Lowryder 2 for speed of growth from start to finish, and it also seems somewhat easy. I have pics of those and the soil and nutrients that will be used throughtout my grow. I also have a picture of the pots I will use. I have a few pictures of my setup. I have an unfinished basement and this setup is located under the stairs. I decided on this because this is my first grow and just want to get the hang of it and only want a small amount of personal smoke for now. I'm looking at 38in x 30in. Height wise, the highest point is about 38 inches as well. This picture showing the top left corner is where I plan on putting the attached picture of the fan for exhaust. As far as intake, I planned on just using a hole. As far as lights are concerned those are 4 26 watt cfl's. I'm pretty sure I will need more, how much do you suggest?
This is where feedback from everyone of you comes into play. I went to a local hydroponics shop and was pretty much told the samething I have read a lot of. This is that HPS is the way to go. At the sametime I have read some good things about CFL. I know I don't have many lights right now, I can put as many as I need to, but I'm just wondering what route I should go. Space is not an issue. I have a nice sized home and can grow where I want. I feel I would have to change my whole path if I get an HPS light. Considering I am growing Lowryder 2 I felt that this setup would work, main thing is I want to get the most out of my buds. This is what the guy at the shop was telling me, that HPS is going to produce the bigger/better product. Obviously I'll get more lights, but with what I got going do you think this will work, or should I go another route (HPS)? Any comments and help is appreciated, how does the direction I'm headed look so far?
