Yeah, those babies are gonna do better in that soil. Are you using FFOF? If so watch your nutes. Its easy to burn plants with that soil.

Nah man. I'm not giving any nutes anymore. Learned my lesson on that one and still hurting from it. They are just going to be feeding from the MG until a few weeks into flower I think and even then I'm going to reintroduce them to the extra nutes slowly. There are some weird brown spots appearing now though...

It's on all of them. I'm thinking its nute burn but it is acting differently than I expected nute burn to act. There's just an occasional brown spot in the middle of a leaf sometimes. There are some tips that are brown too, but they aren't curling under or anything. Gonna do some research on cal/mag deficiencies and whatnot. That's all I got for now.

Oh, and the reason why I use MG is because that is all that is available to me really unless I try and buy some topsoil and make my own soil combination...Which really isn't that bad of an idea honestly. Anyone know anything about the bags of soil at walmart that is just top soil? Might just give the MG organic a try next, or maybe the normal green bag instead of the enhanced bullshit that I got. I'd love to get some FFOF but there is nowhere nearby that sells it.

Those pics look like a touch of some kind of def but I wouldnt even worry about that. Youll do more harm trying to correct it than anything. Just watch and wait.

Whats your watering schedule like?

Before it was a cup of pHed water ever two to three days based on their look, if they were drooping or not. I know on one day I forgot to pH the water because I was super stoned. More harm than good eh? Right on I'll just chill and watch. They have already shot up since I transplanted and had the lights off for eight hours. Gonna start them on a new watering schedule tonight. The pots are going to take a lot of water but I probably won't water for something like 4 days or just based on droop. This is a critical stage for me though. I'm right now getting to that point where I want to think about taking a cutting here and there for clones. I really need to get that flowering box built. Plus I've got a few seeds that I decided to germinate that popped and I need to get planted...SHIT I still don't have soil. I'll do that tomorrow! Busy times around here!

Now, I know there is a lot of damage. However, this is all from early damage that I have now corrected based on more research and better ideas and equipment. But they are going to be looking great soon I believe.

More of those brown spots today and a leaf on one of my better plants is turning yellow. Getting worried now. Gonna do more research to make sure exactly what it is before I take action. Any help is always appreciated.

This is pretty much on the spot exactly what is happening.
Phosphorous: Entire plant is bluish-green, often developing a red or purpleish cast; lower leaves may be yellow, drying to a greenish-brown to black color; growth may be stunted...
Gonna give it a couple more days before I try anything and just watch what happens. I had been putting the pH at like 6.8. But after looking at a chart on the optimum ph levels for nutrient intake I dropped it to 6.6 last night so I'm gonna see what happens.

Did you flush? Also I think some strains are picky when it comes to MiracleGro. Hopefully one of the experts will get on here and look.

Yeah. I'm thinking of making a trip to the hydro store even though it is almost two hours away. I really want some FFOF. I'm sick of this MG already. And I'm wondering if flushing this soil would even be a good idea? Because that just means even more nutrients get released. lol

True. Didnt think of that. I would wait before transplanting again though. Damn I dont know, I dont want to tell you the wrong thing then have all your plants die. I wish a veteran grower would chime in.

I'm not worried about them dying quite yet. I just don't want them stunted too bad when I try and clone them. Ideally I want to clone somewhere between tonight and the next three or so days. And then this weekend I want to build that flower box and have it dry running to work all the kinks out while the original plants are springing back. Busy times ahead. Just need to get this problem worked out first though...

I picked up some soil tonight after work. Decided to try Miracle Grow Organic this time. I figured it couldn't be worse than the normal potting soil.....goddamnit I was wrong. If you go this route, I suggest at least a 60/40 ratio of perlite to the soil. It is the worste draining stuff I've ever seen. But with perlite it should be alright. I hope it performs well. I used the soil to transplant the final original plant. I also planted 5 seeds with one have already broken out of the shell. We'll see if it lives or not.

I have made up my mind for sure to top and clone tomorrow or tomorrow night after the lights come back on.

Oh. Quick question for you guys. I am going to be flowering these first 8 plants at once so that I can determine the sex of them all. Do you think I should stay true to SOG and remove the lower branches so that everything goes to the main cola, or do you think I should let these lower growths flower?

thats a tuffy man... i guess it really depends on how many girls u get.... do whatevers space efficient

Yeah depends on a lot of thing. But it would probably be ok. Your main canopy is going to get thick so you may want to hash your bet and just trim them now. You can use those for clones, two birds with one stone.

Don't really know yet. Only been a day. But so far I noticed it drains like shit unless you use a lot of perlite.

Hey thanks a lot sir. I'll have to post up new pics. They've gone absolutely crazy since I transplanted them. They are just shooting up and getting bushy. I have GOT to get that flowering cab built today or tomorrow.
