when working with CFL, make sure you state the actual wattage not the equivalent, usually 150 watt are actually 42 watt or somewhere around there, it is a pretty big difference. The reason I say that is because I can see a bulb in the corner of your avatar pic. Can we get some more pics, like of the whole plant and the set up, that nug looks very nice so far.

yeah i believe ur right,i was buying more lights today they are the 42 w cfls 2700 lumens. u guys think 2 of these is cool for 2 decent size flowering girls?? ill get a couple more pics up too ,

i would run at least 400+ watts for the sake of the plant. CFL wouldnt get you a higher yield compared to HPS. but adding more CFL to maximize this, would be better than nothing.

2 42 watt is definately not enough for a plant that size, your gonna need like 4-6 of those and put them closer to the plant, they are too far away. I cant believe it got that big with only 2 lights that far away.

being too close wont cause any issues?? ill put another 2 42's

There really isnt such thing as too close when working with CFL's, they dont get very hot, you literally have to be touching it for a minute to get burned. 2 inches away from the leaves is perfect, some people go closer, even up to 1 inch away without problems, but stick with 2 just to be safe.

also when you add more lights, dont just put them all in the same spot at the top, spread them around so the plant gets light from all sides, dont be afraid to get the lights all up in there as long as they arent touching the leaves.

Not true at all.....you wanna keep the 42watt at least 4 inches away, any closer and your plants will pay the price. I got the same advice on my first cfl and i burn my plants... maybe the lower wattage bulbs can be within an inch or two but the 42watt bulbs get pretty hot

i would agree with spreading the lights around for penetration though, the majority of my lights were on the tops and the bottoms buds didnt get much light until my led showed up....
