First grow closeth, what should i get?

i just started a little indoor garden. Right now i have a little plastic box with a LED lamp from Green element in it. I am building a closet that is 24x31 in (60x80cm) and 70 in ( 180cm) high.

I have a 150W MH lamp. (And a LED Green element ) not shure if i should use both or keep the LED for smaler plants.

Any thoghts on what i need for my happy closeth?

Ventilation fans is a must. Genetics is very important also so many variable hard to say what you'll get, you will get the weed itch once you start growing you'll never stop welcome you the grow team.

What's you're wattage on the green element led? That's a coral light but might work ok in veg. For flower you need a hps or warm white fluorescent or cob between 3000 and 4000k
the 150 mh may do the trick in the closet with proper ventilation for veg but you get problems in flower because of lacking red spectrum. Adding a 150 hps light in with the 150 mh would get you a decent yield.
Like michiganjesse said VENTILATION. Gotta be able to keep temps under 81f

So, my Green element is 20x3 watt.. i guess thats not to good?

I also have a hps bulb i could use instead of the Mh, it is 150w superred
Would that make any difference?

I am buying ventlilation any day now, any sugestions? What size/brand should i get?
Do i need any aditional lighting?

150 hps in a closet with 1 or 2 plants should do it. You'll only need a 4 inch fan in a closet 6 inch can't hurt. I love it that's how I started with cfl lights though then hps now hps CMH and led. Still not a great grower but njoy wife smokes minimum an ounce a week usually more plus me maybe a half as I don't have to buy much of anything

150W is too weak to do much good. You will definitely need to supplement that with additional lighting or replace it with a more powerful light even in that limited space. And as other said, if you are dong hid you need hps for flowering, mh isn't going to cut it.

I did a same size closet grow (60 x 80 x 180) few years ago. I ran a 480W (205 true W) Mars Hydro LED with no ventilation or fans. I opened the closet door few times a day to keep the closet cool. Everything went well and I got around 150g high quality weed.

You need to invest a lot of money for good LED system if you want bigger yields or go for HPS and good ventilation.


You should also think about this..

It’s really really hard to do 100% stealth grow in closet and if it’s not stealth you can just buy a tent and get 10 x bigger yields.

One more thing. This is a good option if you want to have nice environment to grow, get big yields and stealth grow.

1. Buy a tent and grow there

2. That 2 times your mom comes to see you during the grow you brake down the tent put it under your bed and put your plants in a closet. I have done it in the past and it worked well lol.
