What I was really wondering is if the fan/carbon filter you have is something that you bought or did you make them yourself? Is it one of those inline fans with the carbon filter attachment?

It's in the photos... That's why I took those ones of the top of the cabinet. You can see clearly that it's a store-bought air filter, just have a couple of those.

Believe it or not, the LA Con was only flowered for 6 weeks and four days. I was told it would be anywhere from 45-55 for flower; for me it took 46 days of flower to hit 50/50 milky/amber trichomes (I'm more a head-high, than a stoned, type of smoker). It's in the dark right now, or else I'd go snap some pics. Tomorrow night I'll be sure to document the chop and post updates!!!

This morning before I put her into darkness, I trimmed off the remaining fan leaves that didn't have any thc. So tomorrow morning, before chop, I might do some clone shopping!!! Then once the next tent is free, I want to try my hand at some seeds.

The LA Con, when I first got it as a clone, already had a ton of roots. It was in a four-inch block of rockwool with roots shooting out of it already.

I don't like having to run the HPS for 24 hours, it gets hot. Also, the spectrum of light that it puts out isn't ideal for the veg stage of growth, it's too red (so to speak). It's just like the sun... in the late summer months the light that hits the Earth is more red at that time, and so plants have grown accustom to getting red light and starting their stretch and early flower phase. So now, even in hydro tents grown with artificial light, color spectrum plays a huge role in how a plant grows. The bottomline effect is, if you veg with HPS lights you generally cause your plants to stretch more than they would under whiter or bluer lights. CFLs come in all sorts of spectrums, HPS not so much. That's why a lot of growers use MH bulbs/ballasts for Veg and HPS for Flower. I'd rather use a MH bulb, but don't have a ballast and didn't think to get one of those dual-function ballasts when I bought my light, so I just use the CFLs.

Maybe in the future I'll spring for just one of those dual-function ballasts. That way I can use one tent to veg all the clones (if I switch to 2-liter SOG, I can fit 10-12 plants in one tent for VEG, then switch half of them over to the other tent use them both to flower), and while the other isn't being used, I can dry in it.

You could always get one of these?

I was thinking of doing a SCROG, how many plants do you think I could do this to in the DR40.

Always cant wait to see new pics of your ladies. :D

I've seen that bulb online before... But everywhere I check it's listed as "out of stock." BUT, as soon as I can actually find a place that has them in, I'm definitely making the switch.

So I've been getting ready for my next grow, and what I'm planning on doing is growing 8 lollipops, each in a 2-liter bottle. I'll trim them just to each be a single, giant cola on each of them. So in that case, I could probably actually squeeze in a ninth plant. With eight, however, I can give them a bit of space around each bottle/pot.

With SCROG the problem really is just trying to find pots that hold enough medium, and that don't take up the entire space of the tent. I've seen 2-gallon "perfect pots" that were 8x8. Maybe you could squeeze in three of those, and let each plant grow to till the screen. The three-gallon bucket was more than enough to support the LA Con clone, which grew to take up the entire canopy. So a 2 gallon bucket should be fine, especially with another plant to fill the space.

I've seen someone do one massive plant in a DR40, in a five gallon bucket. He managed almost 2 ounces dry off of a prodigal yielder.... pretty damn good considering he was using CFLs as well. So you could easily go with one plant, but it would take longer to fill the screen (I've thought about doing this exact same thing... multi-plant scrog).

Keep an eye out for my next grow journal--coming soon--it'll have eight plants, SOG. It should give us both an idea of what can be done...

So today I put together a dryer box. Went down to the hardware store and picked up an 18-gallon rubber tote, cute squares out of the lid, and mounted two 80mm CPU fans in the squares for exhaust. Then toward the bottom of the tote, I drilled some inlet holes. I'm also going to put one of those plug-in air-filters in there to circulate the air a bit, and to help with the smell. For that I'm going to cut a small square hole in the side of the tote (for the plug for the air-filter to stick out), mount the airfilter to the sidewall using velcro, then run an extension cord right to it.

It's quite cold in my apartment these days, so I've also cut-out a larger hole toward the bottom so that I can lay a heating pad on the inside of the tote and run the extension cord out the side.

Very nice looking bud! What's the wet weight?

Also what was the overall height of that plant at harvest?

It's all in the dryer box that I rigged-up right now. Checked on it after a day of drying, and everything seems to be working out so far!!! Smoked the little ball of scissor-hash that I had from the trim, and it didn't floor me, but kept me nice and high for quite a bit of time.

So looks like you'll prbly get about 32grams dried from that plant. Definitely great for a 150.

I just started flowering for my three today and really hoping for a zip per plant like yours.

Mucho props on your grow bro, looks like you've got all your bases covered and have had a great grow! Can't wait to see the results on your others.

Thanks... I can't wait to see how the others turn out as well.

Just planted eight Odyssey clones, each in a 2-liter hempy. Can't wait to see how those grow!

39.5 grams total dry weight. Threw it all (minus a gram to test) in a mason jar, sealed it up, and put it in the dark. Will start checking on it daily, and let it cure for a week or two. I can always just pull a bit out, and leave the rest to cure.

I have about 15 grams of trim that I dried as well... Gonna either vaporize that or make a tincture out of it. So many options!

The Lollipops start week six on Wednesday. If they are on schedule, I will start flushing and they should be chopped in two weeks. The White Widow is about a week behind (longer veg time), so next week she'll continue to receive nutrients and will be monitored. Once I see that the trichomes are starting to get cloudy, I'll begin flushing since I prefer a more heady high. I figure around two weeks of flush I'll have a little less than 50/50 milky/amber. Then dry...

--oh, and--

the dryer-box I put together worked perfectly. Basically an 18-gallon tote that I mounted two 80mm CPU fans to the lid with epoxy, drilled holes on the side at the very bottom for intake, and mounted a plug-in airfilter (the one I usually run in the DR40) inside of it to control the smell. To help in that particular area, I used dryer sheets, folded them up, and inserted them under the fan grills. Couldn't smell a thing and the dryer sheets actually smelt quite nice.
