First grow ever- Auto White Dwarf

What's up all.. I am new to growing and this will be my first ever grow. With that being said and a couple months of research I am going to attempt it.
I will be growing only 1 auto white dwarf in a closet under cfl's. I know that this probably won't yield much but I am growing more for the experience than for the yield, so if I end up only getting an eighth dry I will be more than happy.

Here's how it's going down..

Auto White Dwarf feminized
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
2.5 Gallon pot (could be 3, i'm not sure)
two 150 watt cfl bulbs (6500k)
Fan for circulation
tap water left out for a day or so

I figure I have a couple weeks before I will need any nutes so I will figure that out as I go along.

I started germinating a couple days ago and today i planted her.She will be under 24 hours of light until she pops out of the soil. then the lights will change to 20/4 for the remainder of the grow.

I do have a couple of minor questions but I can wait. =P

Any advice, comments, questions, critizism.. is all welcome.

im doing same strain but with 4 buddha White Dwarf auto with 400w hps 4 pots with same foxfarms but i germed them in 2.gl pots on 18/6

my last one was red haze i dont like size theres kind weird plants i got cal hash plant haze fem im doing net and moby dick one DNA and other dinafem

She popped her head out of the soil this morning so today will officially be day 1.

Nothing too exciting, I'm just glad that she has started to grow. I will post pics when I think it's worthwhile to post em.. who really wants to see a sprout? lol.

Me too, 400w hps and foxfarm... have three growing four weeks in now. Going 20/4 though. Amazing how fast they grow. Haven't used any nutes yet, just distilled water. Have pics up if you want to check them out

Aetneerg.. please do post some pics.. I'd like to see them.. I haven't seen to many grow journals with the White Dwarf.

Ok. So the lights just came on and the tips of the baby leaves are yellow.. almost whit. Mind you the plant is less than a day old. I tried to post a pic of it but I can't seem to upload the pic. help pls?

I think it worked now.. Yes it did.. anyhow the pic is off the shitty iphone camera. and it's the best I could get. The tips of the leaves are discolored.

is there a sort of film on it? a bit of the seed case stuck to ours for a bit but it peeled off eventually. Was light tan/whitish i think.... or is the tiny new leaves too? Sorry can't really tell from the pic. If its not the casing thing then I've got no idea, you should ask in a thread in newbie central or something and more people will see the question.

It's not a film. the leaves are exactly the same with the discoloration.. I will indeed ask in the newbi room.. thanks ;]

Day 2.

The discoloring hasn't gotten worse and the leaves have grown bigger, so I'm not going to worry about it too much. other than that.. nothing much else to say.

Today is Day 4 and she is growing in her second set of true leaves. the discoloring definetly hasn't gotten worse and as the leaves get bigger the yellowing stays the same and gets smaller. I'm not sure what that was all about.. I will update with pictures at week 1. stay tuned.

You should be fine. Just seems like it's a deformity. Wierd shit can happen. Lol. Ive heard of people having their baby leaves be somewhat purple. It's uncommon. But it can happen. I will try to do my best to answer any questions you have. Subscribed.

Tomorrow will be day 8. She has grown out her second set of leaves and is now working on her third. Seems to be growing fast. I'll post pics tomorrow.

I also have some autos going that are at 10 days old......my second grow of lowryder 2....got'em on 20/4 under floros and will move to hps at about 5 weeks.
Good luck on you dwarf grow....autos are fun to watch....the smoke from the lr2 is definitely some of the tastiest I had.....

Here she is today. Day 8.

looking really healthy so far. you can see the discoloration on the tips of the first set of leaves.. I'm not even worrying about it at this point.

Yeaaa that discoloration isn't anything to be worried about man. You'll be fine. It looks pretty good tho. It's got a nice shade of green. And it first seen to be tilting/leaning at all either. Which is always good. Lol

Day 10.

She is looking very good so far. She does have a mutant fan leaf which actually looks kind of cool. She is now starting in on her 4th set of true leaves. I will post pics later on today.

Does anyone know when I should give her some flowering nutes? I was leaning toward fox farms Big Bloom or Tiger Bloom.. I have no idea what I should use. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

ummmm.. what kind of soil are you using?? if your using organic then you can probably use them soon.. just use a very diluted mixture since theyre still young.. they will get nute burn pretty quickly.. new seedling are prety fragile.. once you get past like 3-4 week mark.. and your plants are looking healthy.. the hard parts over. lol yea and either one of those nutes should work fine.. its up to you which one you choose.. but make sure to start it out at like 1/4 strength.. then after a week or sooo go to 1/2 strength.. then 3/4.. then full. ive been wanting to do some autos for a while now.. but my white widow seeds should be coming in the mail any day now.. soo im gonna grow those 1st before i check out the autos.. but from what ive seen/heard.. theyre really good.. and i know u said u had a mutant leaf too.. thats kinda cool.. mutant leafs sometimes means mutant buds.. which are always cool!!! =-)
