First Grow Ever But still Newbie!

I use MG moisture control for the soil and i do have some Mg fertilizer but I think i used it to much and the tips started turning yellow as you can see in the pics. The plant is about 11 days old from when i first got it. The first picture is when I first got it and the remaining two are how it looks now. The leaves have been yellow for about 3-4 days now and I have switched to distilled water instead of fertilized water. I have 2x23Watt cfls (I also have 2 more 23watt cfls that I am not using right now) in there with a fan blowing in and bouncing out the reduce heat. I plant on switching to a bigger space when it gets bigger but right now I am trying to utilize the white brightness of the bulb by enclosing it in a smaller space with white printer paper surrounding the perimeter. I know I will not get a big yield but what can I say i'm still trying my best with the money i have now...haha. I was wondering are my plants doing alright? To me they look like they are but i'm nothing compared to you veterans so if anyone could help me or give me advice i would greatly appreciate and utilize it! Thank you! Also should I switch to 18/6 cycle?

the mg soil has nutes and you gave them more just add water every 3-4 days maybe 5-6 let it dry right out before watering our you will keep burning them wait three weeks our so before adding anything

Just water them for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Let them dry out between waterings like the guy above says. They'll be fine. When you do start feeding, feed the MG at only 1/2 strength MAX.

when i add water how much should it be? I try not to soak the plants. But thanks for replying you two!

Water until you get run off from the bottom of the pot. Then lift the pot and feel the weight. Let it dry out pretty well, then feel the weight again. That is the best way to determine when to water. But always water until you get runoff.

Overwatering happens when the roots are continually wet and don't get any oxygen by drying out.

You and I have very similar grows. I'm using MG moisture control, my plant is 11 days old from seed and using 4 CFLs. You can check my grow out by clicking on the link in my signature. Anyway you should have not added nutes to your plant yet, shes too young. Just keep using that distilled water and you should be fine. Good luck and happy growing!

@sourtrees i will be checking out yours thanks fro replying! Yea now I understand I shouldn't have used the nutes i was like using it every time I watered but now i understand!

Alright thank you very much! This is my second attempt at growing I hope it turns out well!

If you will just keep it simple, RELAX, and don't throw every supplement or Bloom Booster made by a nutrient company at it, you'll be fine. Don't panic at the sight of a burnt tip or brown spot. Not every wrinkled leaf means that the plant is dying. This grow, don't go changing your nutrients around, just use a good basic general purpose fert until you get an idea of what plant nutrition is about. That soil is just fine, do not worry about pH or anything. MG soil is properly limed and you can just about count on pH being constant for your entire grow. No matter what you put in it.
The biggest problem a new grower faces is the tendency to over engineer this. It's a plant, no different from any other. If you aren't careful, you'll love them to death. You are going to see a LOT of information, conflicting mostly, pay no attention to 90% of it.
If you can restrain yourself, and don't feed them everything everyone tells you to, then you'll get some superb smoke. THEN take the knowledge you gained this grow and start refining the next one!!! You wont be a Master Grower the first time, I guarantee you that.

Lol yea I have been doing lots of research and watching lots of videos so i can get it accurately I guess i get out of hand sometimes. Thank you for your advice It will help a lot.

That is the #1 suugestion and I always offer it too newbies. Knowledge is power. Jack was very right in saying that over complication is the first mistake people make in growing cannabis. Never forget it is a weed that wants to grow.

IMHO (and you will find many that disagree) MG is a fine soil for a first grow. All you really need to know is how and when to water. I must admit I usually use FF Happy Frog I am using MG in a current grow with the MG perlite as well. If you'd care to take a look click the journal link in my signature.

But anyway, keep it simple, the golden rule is ..If you stress about your plants, the plants will stress out on you. Best of luck, feel free to PM if I can offer assistance.
