Hi all,
I want to start out by thanking Subcool for his solid soil recipe. I adjusted it with some substitutions and came up with what I think would be his second choice of a soil mix. I have included a couple of pics of the day 55 buds (Purple Kush and Harlequin), they speak for the soil. I lack words for the kindness, truth and generosity that this represents and the difference it is making in today’s world and the cannabis culture is leading the way, my hat is off to you my friend. Thank you again. I can’t wait to mix soil for my next grow it will be to the tee, Sub’s exact recipe. Wow, this is my first indoor grow and my first grow in over 30 years. It’s kind of like the movie “Blast from the past”, I started a career and a family and this to me meant, putting my smoking days on hold (I stepped into the bomb shelter). I want to take this time to state that I am and will always be a bud junky, a kindred spirit, I love the smoke, the plant, every scent, every nuance of color and sticky texture and how drastically it can change with every kind. It was all I could do to stay “clean” for those long, long years. It was a very hard time. For me growing was totally out of the question, they started random drug testing in my profession. Now even the occasional toke could cost me my career, that is until the laws started to change in California (I stepped out of the shelter). The start of the revolution in California coincided with the sixth year of my wife’s bout with severe pain. Exhausting all of western medicine’s vast and almost completely useless knowledge (for the pain she was suffering from), I convinced her to try cannabis. She said yes, now my wife took a hit here and there when we were first married, but not in the last twenty five years. I am a researchaholic and when my wife gave me the green light, I was off to the races. I found a vast amount of good information (and some bad) on the internet, I got down to bizness. One name that kept popping up was Subcool and his soil. I could tell by the subtle evidence that he was talking the talk because he walked in the garden a lot. I liked the vibe he gives off in his writing and am looking forward to what the future will bring.
Cool running’s,
