first grow. is this bugs??

so I think i may have bugs eating at one of my plants. I havent actually seen any bugs. I have a couple pics below. I took them under the HPS but there isnt any discoloration just pieces gone. Thats why i figured it might be bugs.
any input is much appreciated.

No bugs but I think your Nitrogen levels are too high.

got a microscope? broad mites can be seen at 30x's magnification

i do not but ive been thinking of getting one for checkin the trichomes at harvest. didnt think of using it for pests. it looks like i will have to get one

thanks i appreciate the reply. just curious what do i look for to know my Nitrogen is high.

when leaves are dark green and shine like they are coated with a clear wax. Nitrogen toxicity also cause leaf tips to curl down.
