Yep thats a mag deficiency alright. I posted in your thread :) And yes...as long as the buds look alright at this point in the grow I am happy. Every grow I have had when I lower the feeding they start to yellow brown and crisp up. After I flush it will only get worse lol. That's why I take a lot of close ups. Always somebody who will pop on here and say...you have a deficiency, add cal/mag lol, duh! A lot of folks say don't flush, feed them to the end. Nah...I don't like long cures and that is the only way to get rid of all them built up nutrients if you don't flush. If you do things right and feed to when you are supposed to, flush, then water only for two weeks the buds act the same as if they were being fed, they just feed on fan leaves and secondary leaves which we dont smoke anyway ;) My boyfriend has minor lung issues too and he definitely don't need all them chemicals in his meds!

I want to get a vaporiser actually. I had a full medical this week, thought I was getting chest pains. All tests done within an hr of walking in there (I go private), heart rate, radiography on my lungs and they're ok, no problem he said. I don't believe that after years of smoking but at that point I hadn't smoked for 4 days. Big relief anyway.

Flushing is important, I think 3 times the volume is enough, some say 5 or 7?? If it's a huge pot I'll do 10 days minimum. If it's a small pot and a 6 week plant like JD then I'll just do a week. It depends. I have smoked unflushed weed before and it tastes horrible and can crackle.

We have the arizer extreme q vaporizer. It sells at retail for $269 but I picked mine up off of amazon with free shipping for $162. It rivals the volcano and is way less in cost.
It comes with a whip or you can use bags...which is what I like. Nothing like puffing on a baggie of some good meds. It is forced air so no hot parts touching the herb, it has a ton of accessories with it and a remote control

I figured out what the problem was finally with my plants. The mag deficiency I diagnosed them with is actually a root aphid infestation :( I went through the entire root ball of the sativa and it was loaded with aphids. The little gnats I had werent gnats but winged aphids. I am not going to treat the one that is almost done but the clone I am going to hit with whatever works best to take care of them. I know they are a bother to get rid of and that they can destroy an entire crop.

First I started researching problems that mimic MG deficiency. I came across a thread where someone had confirmed root aphids. I noticed their upper fan leaves looked exactly like mine, same pattern, same yellowing, same necrotic patches. That got me thinking to really inspect the sativa's root ball and I was both amazed and disgusted at the same time. In its last days the sativa's leaves all clawed and started to get black spots on every leaf. It was literally being poisoned to death. No coming back on that one and Im glad that I pulled it. The Sensi Star mom has them too, after disturbing the top soil a bit and finding a nice sized root they are all over it. Eggs, larvae and winged aphids all hovering around the soil. I never noticed them, maybe the occasional gnat but we have them in every window sill in our house. After killing one of the winged ones I compared it to a gnat and they do look different. UGH! It was probably in the soil I bought because it was outside at our local menards and we got the soil right after it rained so it was wet. I will order my soil from a hydro shop from now on and just pay the shipping. After this grow I have lots of spic and spanning to do before we start a new one.

Am I going to be amazed and disgusted at the same time tomorrow? My other clones look the same and they had knats first. Time to investigate. I might have to throw out the square!! I've got another square to out in - Power kush. I keep adding more yellow strips and look at the most recent to monitor the progress. There are definitely less but i can still see some lice on leaves. I even thought they might be thrips but I can't see the adults and none are on the strips. Thrips like the blue strips anyway. I used to have these small plastic rods with yellow sticky cards that u change, they were great because they go right inside the pot.

Bugs can be a nightmare. I will have a good clean up and spray the remainder.

What a shame. I've never heard of this before but I have seen unusual shoots sprout before. My Outdoor girls are getting big now. Im definitely going to get bugs.

Wow!! Great pictures, really clear focus. I like that 'blue' effect u have. How is that done? Programme? How much longer before you harvest? Some of them look practically ready now. How many days since the flush?

the blue effect is when I had the camera pointed towards the flouresent light I have plugged in the corner of the closet. Yeah some of it is ready, some not. We tried a sample bud that has been drying for 3 days and it was total and complete couchlock lol. I couldnt move, this stuff is very potent! Flushed yesterday. a couple of the pictures I added an effect too that looked pretty cool, like a warp effect and a background infrared effect

I think the effect it is giving us is perfect. It is a very sleepy high. I pulled a calyx off and looked at it under the scope and there is about 30% amber and the rest cloudy, no clear at all. You were right when you said it looks ready. I have come to learn that white hairs mean nothing at harvest time. Almost every harvest i have tons of white hair left but the trichomes are right where they are supposed to be which is the case here too. It could be because the temps are so high at lights on with barely any temp drop at night it is going into foxtail mode they just havent started to pop out of the tops yet. I see some wierd calyx development on all the upper top buds. We also ran into a problem where our landlord needs access to our grow room to fix an electrical issue so being that I dont have anywhere to put the plants in pots in the house we were thinking about chopping the sensi mom a few days early and putting the clone into a small cabinet until they leave. It might take a couple days he says to fix, they have to cut into the wall and check lines because there is a short somewhere downstairs and they need to check our lines too for fire safety. I guess its a sign from the ganja gods that its time to chop. Im guessing about 2 oz yield from this, which is what we usually get off of a plant.

It'll be ok. It's a shame there's no dark closet to put them in for 48 hrs, that'd count as extra flush/flower time. I've got grow friends near my grow room and they already told me to call on them if 'Landlord shit' happens - quite handy. Thank God u made it to the end. I was having a good look at a load of plants yesterday at a friends house and there were so much yellowing of the fan leaves I know it's gonna taste clean. Judge by the fan leaves yellowing. I can see some in the pictures, this is also what we look for in terms of N being used up.

You're making me wanna have a good clean up now, just in case. You never know !!!
