First Grow Journal

So my set up consists of a 4x4x7ft closet, walls lined with emergency blanket material from walmart(until I get mylar). Lights are CFL, using 4 6500k 26w bulbs to start, will purchase more soon. I also have 8 23w 2700k cfl bulbs for flowering(not in use right now) Soil is Fox Farms Ocean Forest, With the nutes, Grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom.
I germinated the seeds 3 days ago, planted them yesterday morning, and 1 of 4 seeds has sprouted out of the soil. I have their light timer on 18/6 as of right now, I have my temp at 74-78 degrees and only 21% RH, ( plan on putting buckets of water in my closet to make it more humid) so that's it for now thanks for reading!

Hey I'll be watching, sounds like we have similar set ups. I just moved my setup into a 8ft t x 5ft w x 2ft d closet with four 48" 6500k 32w t8s with a combined lumens at about 10,000. My grow is 7 weeks old but wasn't going anywhere until I moved it into just mentioned closet setup about 2 weeks ago. They were a few inches tall in quart sized pots. Now they're in three gallons of fox farm ocean forest, under those t8s and have easily doubled in size. LOVING the fox farm, so worth it.

Very nice man, nice sized closet!, and I also have some three gallon buckets i'll xplant into once they're a moderate size. Do you also use the FF nutes?

welcome to the forum! looks like ur in the right direction on it for sure. (T-8's can also be kept about 4-8 inches away from the plant safely too)

wat kind of genetics r u werkin with? a lil test run with bagseed?

Yep very first grow, so I'm going to be using some bag seed to learn a bit, thanks for the comments i'll update as soon as something happens hah

I'm planning on using big bloom in a week or so - so far though the ocean forest has had plenty of nutes to keep them healthy and happy. Good to hear about your 3gal pots. I transplanted from party cup bottoms (germination) to quart sized pots and then to 3gal. I wasted time with those 1qts but the space I had available at the time demanded it.

Day #2

They have all sprung up from the soil, some are still wearing their seed shells like little hats, some shed them off. Watered them a bit, that's it for today.
