First grow - Kalishnikova 3 weeks into flower

Just wanted to share with y'all where I'm at on my first grow. I started with a $100 florescent set up and now 2 months in I'm pushing 2g's lol, must admit it's an expensive hobby :neutral: Although some things I did purchase for my next grow. Which will be a 8' x 4' tent with the whole 9 yards, have purchased all the equipment already. :mrgreen:

Some info on my current grow;

Strain : Kalishnikova (AK-47 & White Widow)
Light : 2x 600w MH/HPS
Soil : Pro Mix
Pots: 5galon
Nutes : GH FloraNova Grow/Bloom
Sprouted : Mar 20
12/12 : May 1

Any feedback is greatly appreciated, and thanks to everyone here at RIU for all the great info. Spent countless amount of hours reading to get where I'm at. :mrgreen:

Thanks bud. No training all natural. Believe it or not when I started 2 months ago I knew nothing about growing. But I must of spent couple hundred hours of reading and learning.

Thanks bro. I originally started with 1 portion of the closet (2' x 4') with 5 plants. I threw one out when it started getting crowded. :)
Than when they really picked up, I realized I needed to expand even more so I got another 600w mh/hps. So now I have 2 plants per light.

The closet was really ideal for me, because it's in the basement and I even had a power cable ran into the closet by the previous owners. (I think they might of been doing the same thing hahaha) But now that I'm finishing up my first grow I don't think the closet is the best spot for me because of the lack of space. I have a completely empty basement, so I will be setting up a 4' x 8' tent in there, and maybe I'll have the closet as a veg room.

Thanks bud, I will definitely post updates in this thread. I think I'm more addicted to growing than smoking. :bigjoint:

and I know what you mean about so many views ans no replys i starded a journal back in april i update it often put up all kinds of pics and i have had one reply since o well

but your grow looks like its going well just make sure you let the girls go till the end you dont want to chop too early even know you are going to get ancy with it being you first grow def check trichs amber is gooood

i am going to follow your posts

Thanks bud. I will definitely be asking RIU's advice for harvest time. I will also be running into a little problem that can turn into a big problem if everything doesn't go smooth. I will be leaving on vacation on week 6 to week 8 with my fiancee, my mother in law will be staying at our house. Thank god she doesn't have to feed them, since it will be the final 2 weeks. My plan was to leave about 20 1 gal containers of PHed water, because I know she's too blonde for even that haha jk. :D So I hope everything will go well while I'm gone, should be back on day 59 of the 12/12 cycle, just in time to chop the ladies. :)

I think they all seem to have a nitrogen deficiency. Been feeding them at 1/4 strength since week 2 of veg, so I bumped it up to 1/2 to see what will happen. Was always scared of over feeding them, so I kept it to a minimum.

What do you guys think? Anyway to stop the yellowing, before they lose all of their fan leaves. :(

Those are the nicest looking kalash plants ive seen. Mine threw nanners like crazy. As for your nutes you have the right idea your gonna need more nitrogen. Your p and k look good so if your using a two or three part just up your nitrogen a little keeping everything else the same. Excellent first go

Dude - ur doing a great job - u don't need advice , plus, they're supposed to start yellowing now, don't feed then an more N

He's 4 weeks into flowering.


Yellowing of leaves will cause premature leaf drop.

Leaves are what drives the plants growth.

Get your veg nutes up higher in strength.


I use a 6-3-8 veg nute formula from start to finish.

I also think 4 weeks is too early for the yellowing. FloraNova Bloom that I use has 4-8-7, so it has nitrogen in it. I was giving them 1 tea spoon per gallon, once a week. Now I bumped it to 2, we'll see if it stops..

Great thread hijacked by spamming asshole. Your plants at 3 weeks flower are blowing away my plants that are in their 3rd week of flowering. I messed up the veg. Wish mine were as big as your plants. I'm still doing pretty good. Your doing great. I vote for upping your nutes. 1 tsp of nutes once a week seems kinda low...
