First Grow...Lavender Kush...Yellowing leaves need help!

Not doing so good for my first grow but trying!

So I am using black gold organic potting soil, 6.5ph water, 150Watt HPS and two 100W cool white florescents, Soma Seeds feminized Lavender and Fox farms grow big and big bloom.

Been keeping my soil Ph at 6.2-7.0, runoff seems to match up nicely with the soil meter.
I keep my lights(HPS) 12 inches away and my CFL's at 6 inches. Doesn't seem to make my hand feel uncomfortable under those lights with the fan I have running. The temperature in my box stays at 72-80F at all times. Running a 24/7 light period.

Gave her its first 1/4 teaspoon for 2 liters of water of grow big at four weeks, which was 72 hours ago. But before I get to that I must explain the growth of her. I am a first time grower so...seems like she has been growing kind of slow for the first four weeks and it seems the leaves have gotten yellow to the point of the bottom set being pale yellow. So I added my nutes and gave them a good watering this last time and it helped. If you look at the pics, they used to be much much more yellow. They have greened up nicely but this new growth(5th node) is very dark green but is yellow also. These pics were 48 hours after the feeding. Since then (78 hours) they have exploded with growth but are sad and droopy for water lol. What could be my problem guys? :idea:My theory is that they were not ready for the nutes and I burnt them and I need a better feeding schedule:wall:

Thanks for any advice
Peace

How much light is it getting? I'm a virgin and only about 2 weeks into my grow. But I want to give this a shot and say that maybe you should move the lights closer and make sure to keep the temp around where you have it. If in a few days/week you don't see improvement then it maybe nutrition failure, the leaves curling at the bottom kind of say that to me.

Can a pro grade my comment.

possibly nutrient burn i'd say. the soil has enough nutes in for the first 4-6 weeks of growth, it also looks a bit on the dry side. I would only be starting nuting them in a week or so

Well are there any remedies for the dryness? Possibley a bowl of water with a fan blowing over it. Knew I should of waited on the nutes but did it anyway just to see how it would respond. Now the lights being at 12 inches is ok, my plants seem to do the best at that height. Had the light at 10 inches and they just get overheated and stressed. Thanks for the info and I will be posting pics of her tonight.

Peace and 420!

Hey everyone, a couple days late but I got caught up in work. She is looking alot better since I posted this. Gave her a good flush on monday and although kinda droopy she is pulling thorugh and greening back up. Clipped those bottom leaves but the next set up is doing the same thing. Yellowing, curling and brown spots is what I am getting from that set. Also having a problem with my topsoil drying within 5 or 6 hours. Any remedies on how to help the drying process of the topsoil?
