FIRST GROW: lots of equipment

do u know anything about using molasses when flowering to fatten buds up? cuz i have this stuff called carbo logic which in my opinion is really just powdered sugar, came with my nutrients kit.. so im assuming this is the same idea but any experience or word of mouth with the molasses?

i also am thinking i need some help with this whole final set up of this room (the basics to start of course, like length/width for areas and running all the power, which lights to use when, scheduling everything out SOG style) im going to do some "paint" pics of what i think im going to do. thanx for your help as always

hey gibbs i never used molasses personaly but i have heard good things about it.. i want to try coconut and sugar cane juice on one plant later on just to see what happends.. if molasses works than why not? it might have some crazy good flavor as well as more thc and weight..

also man whats the word on set up??

ya thats what im thinking about the molasses, cuz i mean sugar is sugar but your def. on a cool experiment with the coconut and sugar cane juice.

and the word on setup is as follows lol >>> i ended up flushing my 2 autogrowers on the 24th not to mention i only gave them water before that so i dont think i need a second flush, i was suppose to do a second flush yesterday on the 28th but they were still a tiny bit damp an inch under so i waited, i could do the second flush today i suppose but i think id rather leave them under the light and dry out the rest of today then take them out of the pots tomoro and hang them to dry in my wooden shed

so either way, really soon im going to put up the 1000watt MH and take down the 1000watt HPS and start transplanting! then VEG like crazy so i can start getting a shit load of clones and then try and set something up kind of like your setup, SOG. Here is a picture of how i want to set up the room (the whole closet idea i briefly mentioned), and all the measurements are there for you to figure something out for me which i most appreciate!! the only problem i have is i dont know how much energy i can all run in this room without blowing a fuse or causing "heat" to the electrical company and getting in trouble.

great idea with the secret door.. and to seperate the space just finish that wall where your secrt door is to the window wall.. thats a 8x12 flower room great for upgrades.. but for now with one 1000w hps you prob will just use a small piece of that.. that leaves you with a huge 9x8 room for your moms and veg and a 4x4 space for clones.. now like i said these are all overkill rooms but what the heck if you have the space use it.. and plenty of room to expand if thats your plan..

so the way i would set up is: 1000w hps on light mover for flower......your 400w mh for your moms......use your 2 26w cfls for cloning......use your 2 t5's and your led for veg..... and sell your 1000w mh and invest in ventilation if you havnt done so already or another 1000w hps to replace your light mover... what you think??

ya i would agree, cuz i dont need a big veg. area if im only veging clones, the 400watt should be just fine for my moms once i cut down my garden a bit and decide which ones to keep as mothers. but for right now i need the 1000watt MH so i can get all these plants back into hardcore veg.. they were sexed so they are coming back slow, the 400watt is so crowded right now, i literally do not have any space under that thing. so for now i will just be going veg. crazy with clones from each plant and then flower like 14 different strains so i can pick out what strains id like to keep around. i really appreciate your insight man, goes a long way. its hard for me to exactly picture everything in order with all this equipment.

do u think you could do a sketch of everything you suggested, being for when im able to start the SOG... like venting and stuff too? that would be amazing! i dont know how many inlet fans i need or how many places for exhaust, dont know how many carbon filters id need or where they go etc. etc... lost on this part lol. the only thing i can assume is at the window i would have one inlet and one exhaust.. but even then wouldnt that just create a circle and barely bring in fresh air becuz they are right beside each other it would just be whats trying to exhaust??

dono what you mean exactly, do u mean just make my secret door on the wall parallel to the wall with the window? or do u mean extend the closet to the wall of the window?

whats up man? sounds like your doing the same thing i just did with moms.. i curently have 9 from seed that i just cloned, waiting to flower 1 of each so i can find the best 3 keepers..

also what i meant about your wall is your gonna have to devide that room into 2 seperate grow spaces so that light does not leak from one to the other... so based on your dimentions the best thing to do would be to build a wall parralel with your secret door.. and it will run looks like right to the middle of your window.. so then you will have one 8x12 room for flower and then another door going into your veg room..
