First let me inform you that I am almost completed my first grow. I am doing an indoor grow with one plant just over 6 weeks flowering. I am doing almost all natural grow. I am using a 1 gallon flower pot which has some type of potting soil formula. After this, I added only water and no nutes.
Theres my simple grow-0p....
Now for my take on when to harvest....
Since the beginning of my flower, my plant has taken it upon itself to rid itself of large fan leaves. Leaves first turn yellow and then eventually become brittle enough that they fall off. Its been over 6 weeks, and I have lost many fan leaves; however, all the leaves close to the buds are still nice dark green.
I figure, when the plant can no longer naturally put any energy into bud production, buds are ready to harvest.
And to me, this strategy/plan is perfect for almost all natural grows; however, adding nutes and such will provide your plant with the energy it needs and thus leaves probably dont die as easily.---. so this method would be for natural growers i suppose.
