First grow - noob questions

Hello everyone, this is my first grow (actually is the second but the first one was 4 years before so i dont remember anything). Its an automatic northern lights in allmix soil with 400 watt CFL. Its in week 6.5 and i wanted to know your opinion about

a) do healthy plants look like that?
b) is it concerning that some bottom fan leaves have turned yellow and in some cases crunchy brown?
c) how much do you estimate my final yield by looking at the pictures?
d) do i feed with every watering in flowering stage?
e) do i wait for all the trichomes to turn brown to harvest it down?

thank you in advance and greetings from Greece!

Greetings.

A) Yes, they look fine
B) Not at all, leaves tend to go yellow near the bottom in flower
C) I'd say a a couple ounces max
D Most people do feed, water, water
E) Go onto ebay and invest in a jewellers microscope (around $5 USD), near harvest, you can inspect the trichromes, you want nice milky - amber thrichromes, however this comes down to personal preference as well, depending on the kind of high you like

one pointer I see right off the bat, you wanna turn your cfl's to be sideways above yr plant, they don't put off as much lumens thru the top of the bulb then they do when placed horizontally. that should help a bit with lighting issues. and I agree SPEK9, my first plants were intended for a grand harvest, but all I gained was some scraggly buds, and the knowledge of a shit load of things NOT to do. lol, trial and error my friend. works wonders in the learning process. if you get any harvest at all on yr first grow, chalk it up to a success.

My bet is that it's 5-7 60w equivalents, ie. 23 watters, so ~138 effective watts total. Could be wrong of course.

I was also thinking right between one and two ounces for yield after another couple of weeks.

No they are three 85 watt (original wattage not equivalent) and two 75 watt lamps making a total of 395 watts. They are the largest e27 socket lamps i could find (at least in greece) because the e40 socket were too large lol. The pics show the plants right now (7.5 week from seed). I know i will have a humble yield because they are autoflowers and 60 cm the tallest one but i knew that from the beginning. I hope next time to go better (i ordered 3 white widow feminized in my first try to go with an non auto plant)

I've thought about that but i dont know exactly how to do it since they are 5 lamps and in the veg state you need to constantly modify the height... now if you talk about flowering i think i ll try it next time. But i agree with you, i caught myself about 10 times during the grow saying "i shouldn't have done this like that", i suppose there nothing like good old experience :)

I have 300w (true watts) of CFLs in my tent and I am averaging between 15g (smallest so far) and 18.6g (largest) off of my plants.

I grew seven plants under that 300w, and I am looking to get around 100-125g out of all seven plants, so about 1/3g per watt.

I am sure you can do much better than that, but I wouldn't expect much more than 1/2g per watt tops your first grow with CFLs. If you are running 300 true watts of CFLs, I would say you can expect between 100-150g depending on how well you do.

Considering it looks like you really have about 105w in there, I would say about 20-40g off of the two.

looks neat Fangule  i ll keep that in mind thanks. can you compine topping with lst?
You may already know this. But you probably should not top with autos, some may be ok, but usually their veg time is too short for topping and mainlining. If you do photo plants, that's where topping and mainlining will really help.

They are 395 original wattage. I think the major bottleneck in my my yield would be the feeding. I am going to improve that next time by keeping a more tidy schedule and use root jouice and top max.

hi guys I need some guidance as this is my first grow.. (indoor)

I am currently running a 1.2x1.2x2 grow tent with a 600wt light, RVK 5" buddhagod carbon filter 5" and a standard intake fan at 5".... I am using 5 20lt pots and using coco and canna a+b. my plants are 3 weeks old from when I received them. I normally feed them a litre every 2 days and used 1ml each of a+b per litre also used rhizo but stopped that now. my plants aren't looking too bad considering its my first grow but I still feel they haven't as big as they could have. they are roughly around 20-24" tall but they aren't very bushy.. I am going to start using boost excel in around a week or 2 but I just wondered if anyone could look at my pics and see how they feel im getting on and if there abit small or what not as Iv been told that I should really start floweing now. any info will be helpful and appreciated guys thanks ( p.s its UK cheese from cutting)

You should start your own thread, and lower your lights , they are way to far.
