hey all,

i have my Northern lights autoflower at around week 5 now.
i have some pics and would like to see what you guys think of it.

as you can see on the pics there are alot of small white hairs around the plant, should the plant be more developed at 5 weeks? can anyone give a rough guess to how long left till harvest?

also, i have been having a issue with the bottom part of the plant, a total of 4 fan leaves have died over the past week, and now its starting to spread up the plant, the picture below is how the fan leaves has started to lose their green color its starting to go lighter and crispy, these fan leaves fall off the plant without any resistance. may this be due to underwatering? i have only been watering every 8 - 10 days. if not can anyone identify the problem?

many thanks
any replies would be helpful.

looks great!...can't wait to start mine! ... are yours Nirvana seeds?, nute burn starts from the bottom and spreads up i think... autos i'm told don't need much grow nutes(if any depending on the soil mix and strain) maybe you need to flush em through with just water? (i aint grown em yet so i could tell you for sure).

Yeah, they are Nirvana seeds :)

nutrients wise i have been giving them some home made fertiliser, its just decomposed stinging nettles mixed with rain water.
i gave it 2 tsp per 2 gallon of water, i did get what looked as nute burn on the tips of leaves, so i am not gonna use any more till the plant is nice and healthy again.
you said nute burn can start at the bottom and spread up, can this cause the leaves to fall off after to much nutes?

from what i have heard those leaves with damage will never recover. if they are badly burnt they will not function properly (go yellow or die off completely) your plants look very healthy above the damage so removing them now or later won't hurt your plant..... but you do need to deal with the problem ie: flush the plants thru with clean ph'd water and start again adding nutes slowly after they have recovered.... or more of the plant WILL be affected

this is only what i have read.... and its worth checking what i say with others... but i hope it helps

(i have northern lights auto fem from nirvana...and if mine look like yours in 5 weeks my cock will be sick in my pants)

Can anyone tell me if my plants should have more than just small preflowers at 5 weeks?
my reason behind asking, is that i have seen that some of Nirvana's Northern lights autoflower seeds were said to not autoflower

the preflowers have not grown much, if at all in the last week, the plant is bushing out abit and just getting bigger.

should i expect it to need to go to 12/12?

No, as far as I know the faulty autos were from a bad batch. I'm pretty sure it happened a while ago though. If you bought seeds within the past six months then you should be fine.

Hey dude - i would be inclined to switch to 12/12. I planted some of these today and if after 4 weeks veg hey have started flowering then 12/12 it is :-D

I have planted directly in 3 gallon pots and i am gonna lst the shit ou of em :-)

Please do keep this thread updated ! Where did you get your beans from ? Nirvana or attitude ? I dont the af part of the genetics is stable !
