First grow: Northern Lights

lost both my top colas to mold, didn't cut most bottom branches. total harvest:

Two plants, Bengy and Caddy. Bengy sprouted quickly and had big leaves and strong stem at the beginning. Caddy was the slower one, grew out a lot of side stems, produced more bud and more total weight, but smaller, less dense bud. Each jar had about 8-15 grams.

Bengy: 29-30 weeks total (cans on the boxes)
- 113 grams, around 4 oz
- so far dried about 1 weeks, cured 3: smells is strong zesty, fruity smell, like lemon, and strong body high

Caddy: 31-32 (cans on floor)
- 135 grams, almost 4.8 oz
- drying/curing about 2 weeks, sweeter smell, like blueberrys

Not sure why I lost my top colas to mold. The center of the colas are dense, it's buds that are tightly packed against each other making it look like one. I attempted to dry the colas as one also, without a fan, so poor circulation with dense, moist buds just chopped makes it susceptible to mold. Next time, I will probably clip as many of those packed buds from the main cola as I could and probably get a fan.

Really nice job, esp. for a first grow. NL is one of my all-time favorite strains -- I'm just waiting until I have a spot in the rotation to plant some beans.

Thanks for the compliment. What I found surprising was how complicated drying and curing can be. For me, it's probably been more difficult than the growing part, but just as much fun as you can see the weed change in at least smell and appearance over time. Overall, growing was a much more fun and exciting process than I would have thought.
