keep lights on 24 hours a day during veg. growth. the garden is at maximum efficiency at 24 hours. the plants dont need a "rest period". that's an old wives tale. when you want to flower plants, put them on 12/12 light schedule. most good soils you should wait 2 weeks before fertilizer is used. give plant a chance to grow and have leaves/stems before you fertilize it. try foxfarm fert. for veg. and bloom stage. read through this forum and you will find all info you could ever need. or buy a book 
you can also go to stealthydro.com and get more efficient cfl's that'll give you stronger, healthier plants. they make lights for veg. and flower stage that are VERY efficient...

little late on my post, ey? lol ur plants look pretty good, i like to rotate the pot every day a little, so that each part of plant recieves identical light. that helps em' grow straight and disperses light more efficiently.... looks good though!

Ok so im pretty sure i have a male. It has many balls but it also looks to me like its producing what could be buds but with no white hairs. could this be a hermi in the making or am i just stupid and this is normal for a male. Let me know what you guys think.

i agree with fastnova its very important to have hot air escaping your growroom along with fresh cool air comin in.

lol thanks man but hopefully i can still get some hash out of it. But im pretty sure that my other is female so dont think my first grow was a total failure .

By no means would your grow be considered anywhere near a failure. Trust me I've done the failure thing.
I had to kill off 2 boys this week, they were scaring me with their balls.

We started LST at 3 weeks and they are 6 weeks now and it helped a lot cause of our height restraints and its nice and bushy

i just started germinating, and i have just about no money....so, your process has definitely been educational, and very inspiring..
of all the guides i've read so far, your lighting setup seems to be the best balance between cost and effectiveness.
