First grow!!! Please help!!!

a lot of growers use molasses most of the way through
i used up to about 2 weeks of harvest - worked great for me - only used 1 tsp per gallon of water

maybe not every time, depends on the rest of the nute mix - many growers feed every other watering
i did feed every time - i was using molasses/bone meal tea - this is unusual, just what i did
molasses is maybe $3 a bottle - real nice nute for the price

well i already have a bag of 10-2-1 guano so i guess il get sum molasses and make a tea out of the two. thanks alot for the help guys.

quick question.. what nute does molasses have?

I understand molasses has the phosphorous nute. The middle number on nutes, usually for flowering. I use Schultz 10-15-10 all the way through. I started the molasses in last three weeks of flower, 1 tbsp. per gallon (put it in hot tap water first to make a tea). My outsider is also in triple digits daily and comes in at night. I had a chunk missing that looked a little like yours and the next day spotted a grasshopper on it. Hope the assbite got high. Good luck. They look great if you ask me!

oh fa sho!!! i feel your pain, im in sac town!!! dat little heat wave almost took me out da game lol but its still growin strong. but i do know that the chunk was from me, like i said the leaf got all dried out and it crumbled when grabbed em. i did at one point have little bugs in the soil, kinda looked like little nats and im pretty sure dat those are the guys that turned into little white bugs that fly around the plant now. they dont seem to be eating it though

The way I understand it, the molasses is used to stimulate the bacteria in the soil. Wouldn't this increase the risk of bugs, mold, etc.?

No, molasses allows micro nutrients to be absorbed more efficiently because of the natural sugars in it, breaks down starches etc. stimulating root activity and actually removing harmful bacteria. You mix the molasses with water, and typically with other nutrients to make a tea. Combining molasses with the other nutrients allows the roots to draw in more water and the nutrients simultaniously without burning the plant. The roots and macro organic environment converge together to transubstantiate the sugars into a kind of cleaning tool, working along with helpful enzymes to eat away harmful bacteria and creat an environment unfit for harmful insects, while allowing for beneficial bacteria/insects/enzymes to thrive on the byproducts of the transubstantiation.

so will the white flys hurt my plant? everyonce in a while i find some spider webs between the blades on the leaves, but i really dont think they are spider mites being as i keep finding small spiders chillin on the plant. Too big to be spider mites.

doesn't sound like you have spider mites....... first visible sign of spidermites is yellow/brownish dots showing up on the top of the leaves, with little pen dot size white or brown specs on the underside (spidermites). Spidermites do make webs. Veg is the easiest/best time to get rid of them. Neem oil works well, along with high humidity (showering your plants, just NOT while they are in sun!)

and for a while i thought i had spider mites cuz i did see little bugs crawling over leaves before, but they were too small to see specs on them, let alone pick them up and look under them. so was i wrong? but i no longer see those ones anymore anyway

garlic spray? never even heard of it. spray it on the plant itself or the soil surrounding it?

it seems like the whiteflies only come around during the day, i havent noticed them on the plant at night. i usually just shake them off.
