Hey guys this is my first grow, I have been reading the shit out of every forum I can get my eyes on. I built this grow box and wired it with bulb sockets so I could veg them under 7 100 watt CFL's. 5 of them are daylight 6500k and two are soft light 2700k. I read somewhere that a lil red spectrum is good for the plants. I am growing these lil guys in two different organic potting soils one is Gardners gold and the other is Garner & bloom. Both of them have organic nutes in it so I am not adding anything to these guys.

Gardner and boome :
Ingredients: Fir bark, worm castings, redwood, peat moss, perlite, topsoil, chicken manure, bat guano, kelp meal, oyster shell, dolomite lime.

Gardners gold:
fir bark fines, worm castings, forest humus, peatmoss, perlite, bat guano, kelp meal, and composted chicken manure.

The PH of the distilled watter I am using is between 6.5 and 7. I havn't tested the run off yet cus I am scared that I may be over wattering. Temp is a consistant 80 throughout the day and at night it drops but not too much. I constantly have a fan blowing air over them also. They get a lot of air movement. They are about 2-3 inches from the lights, and the strain is Northern lights feminized from Nirvana. They are about 2 1/2 weeks old. Any suggestions are much apriciated!

Here are the pics, once again thanks for any advice!

Would that cause the brown spots on the leaves? I water them maybe every other day, abut 2.5 oz's of water, when I stick my finger in the dirt and it is dry one nuckle deep. and the platers are light when I pick them up. Could it be the nutes in the soil? I put them right in there when they germinated. Should I wait longer to watter them?

im a first timer too and i got the same brown spot on one of my leaves so i researched and it looks like a phosphorus is needed. i bought some bone meal and mixed it in with a spoon. plants need alot of water so i doubt they are overwater. alot of people on here seem to think over/underwatering or nute burn is the cause of every problem and none of them mention nute deficiencies. *shrug*

Just drove a long way but I got some FF Ocean forest potting soil. The guy that was working the store was fucking cool and he helped me out bigtime. I transplanted one of them to a bigger pot and it had roots all around the side. I am getting my fan today so I will be able to move all of them out of those little pots and under a 600w MH. I tested my run off ph and it was around 5.5 so I think it is a mix of problems PH/soil/root bound. I will keep you guys up on what happens. I hope to have some healthy plants to post pictures of in a week! I also got some little orange balls called hydroton. I put an inch of those in the bottom of the bigger planters "for better drainage" and about an inch on top to help maintain the soil temp. It also helps out when I water them the soil doesn't get moved around and disturbed. I am hopeing that the FFOF potting soil will help correct the PH problem.

Thanks to all that responded, I will keep you up to date. I already have 10 more seeds on the way if these lil guys don't make it. 5 Northern lights feminized, and 5 Bubblelicious feminized.

I hope so! Later when I get good at growing I am thinking about crossing an F1 Northern lights with a F1 black or blueberry. Call it back sunshine or blue light special! LOL

My iPad won't expand your pics but from what I see you're doing ok. Should be fine to go ahead and top/prune, especially your bigger one.

Well it seems that all are doing better. I have one that has some real light green new growth so I am thinking it may be a nitrogen problem. So I will be keeping an eye on that one. Just glad it is only one. Here are some pics of my lil girls. the smaller ones are 27 days old from when they germinated and my bigest girl is only 37 days old.
