This is my first attempt at growing, check it out and give me some feedback 
I have spent some time scouring craigslist the past month or two looking for deals on equipment and so far am in about $650 and feel that I have a fairly complete set up at this point.
9k btu AC unit ($75)
2x 1000watt HPS, Carbon Filter, Inline Fan ($200)
6x 32watt CFL ($60)
15amp timer for CFL ($20)
Panda Tarps ($60)
Clones ($100)
PPM meter, Ph strips, AN Fertilizers, buckets, and other Nicknacks make up the rest of the cost up to this point. My electricity bill will be going up as well
Here you can see the Carbon filter, two HPS lights and the AC unit. Obviously the lights are not hung up yet, but will be within the week when I put my first batch into flower.

My Vegging Closet which will be separated Using panda film and fed cool air through a small ($30 inline fan ... or some other way

My Humidity and Temperature Sensor, seems to be a decent temp ... Ac has trouble keeping up during the hottest times of the day though.

Finally, here is what all the fuss is about. I have six plants which are around 3.5 weeks after transplanted from clones and six more clones I have had for a couple of days ... they will be the second generation. The first generation includes 2x Blue Moon Rocks, 2x Godfather, 1x White Widow, and 1x Nostradamus. Second Generation is all White Widow ... I want to get a large quantity of one type so that I can donate to the local dispensary
