First Grow Room

Hey guys I'm looking to setup my first grow room looking to house 1-2 plants was looking at making a box out of ply and lining with Mylar, ventilation was thinking 2 pc fans with CFL lights. Anyone got any advice or input, would be much appreciated
 
What are your constraints, or goals? A lot of variables to consider. Yield expected, room size, budget. PC fans are used sometimes but more for micro grows or PC grows.
 
Its just a first time experiment to see what I can learn before upgrading everything. currently I have mixed seeds as they are difficult to come by let alone know what strain. I pretty much want to create my own personal supply just few ounces every few months then maybe upscale to try and feminize my own seeds
 
Good lighting, good air circulation, good air exchange, good environmental controls, good luck. That's about it

You probably need a 2x1 box with 150-300 wats in it and most likely an inline Fan because pc fans won't be big enough to give good air circulation. With that set up you could get 2 ounces or so every 4-5 months. If you want anymore than that you would have to invest some money and have a bigger grow area
 
In that size you could go with an led, they are strong but cool, only issue is that they should be 18-24" from plants so you need headroom in the box. Cfls just are hard to light up large spaces with unless you have alot of them all over the cab. 300-400 wats probably
