Thanks Mfajen! The LST def kept the canopy super low. I mean the plant is literally only a few inches above the pot. I am definitely hoping for more than 1/2oz but we will see. Thanks for the Sub.

Update - Flowering week 2 - Ok so I had a major issue with the plant again two days ago. The leaves went completely limp. My PH runoff is 6.7 the soil was moist so I just didn't understand. It was a few degrees hotter than I'd prefer but nothing extreme. Anyway after a couple days of just pure water it started to come back again.

After doing a little research it seems that I may have run the pot to the max with the size of the plant. So I went out an got a 3 gal today. This gave me a chance to redo the LST so it's much cleaner. For all those who use twist ties and your planter has a 'lip' to it, you can just fold the twist tie under it without creating holes in the planter.

Anyway the plant today is looking much better. There are two fan leaves in the pictures that I need to remove, but I am going to wait on that. Give it a few days to recover from the replanting. I am starting to really see some small buds forming which is awesome. So far the smell is not bad. I can imagine once the buds start to really developing then it will be an issue, but that's a ways away. I'll stop blabbing here is my arial photo update for the day

UPDATE - Flowering week 3 - Approx 6 more to go - HELLO EVERYONE!!!! Sorry for the caps hehe...I may or may not be imbibing in a chocolate edible... Anyway things are doing much better after the transplant. The leaves are showing the deficiency is resolving itself with the newer FFOF. The buds are really starting to take shape, as you can see in the photos.

It's a very exciting part of the grow, then again with everything that's happened so far this is actually boring. In a good way of course. So I will leave you with some weed porn to smoke to. Looking forward to the weight to start packing on.

Next time try a smart pot, a 3 gallon smart pot would be perfect. They increase yields by aerating the roots and air prunes the roots so ya don't have to worry as much about the plant getting too big.

UPDATE - Flowering Week 4 - So my baby is doing quite well since I saw her last Thursday. I have been on Easter break and I was lucky enough to have a trusted side-kick to watch her. My girlfriend rocks! She loves how the plant looks and smells and encourages me when I have issues. The plant is going strong and it's very cool to see the plant put all it's energy into buds. Well here is the bud porn for ya. The way it's looking, I am hoping for a generous harvest.

sweet dude how hard was your rubbermaid to put together.
Well it may only be hard if you are a Neanderthal. I have very little D.I.Y knowledge but I was able to put it together quite easily. I will take pictures for you tomorrow. All I did was take two rubbermaids (of which I will be upgrading to larger ones next grow) and turn them top to top. I cut holes for all the lights. I lined the inside of the rubbermaids with aluminum tape. I would recommend not using the aluminum tape because it was more of a hassle than it was worth (price wise). I'd go with a roll of mylar. I cut two holes in the rubbermaid. One for intake which has a fan sucking air in, and an exhaust which is pushing air out. I made a light blocker for the exhaust fan out of cardboard and duct tape. The entire set-up (minus the actual lightbulbs and the fans) cost me maybe 85-100 bucks...with the bulbs and fans I am at $300.

There are so many Tutorials on rubbermaids as well as mad set-ups to look at. It was just Ludacris for me not to go that route. One word of advice though. In such a tight space, invest in a strong quite fan. AC Infinity makes the bomb fans. You can get them on amazon. I have one that pushes 150cfm at only like 40-45 decibels.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!!!! Burn One down!

UPDATE - Flowering End of Week 4 - Hello to all my fellow followers and RIU peeps. I just wanted to do an update because my baby is really starting to take off. I started Tiger Bloom and it really seems to be helping..though I don't have anything to compare it to...at least until my next grow. She has over 25 bud sites/heads and 6 or 7 of them are shaping up what appears to be at least 3-4 grams a piece. That being said I will definitely have a better harvest than I was expecting.

The first set of pictures are from two days ago so I apologize. The second set is from tonight. Take a close look at the main stalk close up. Look at the soil. I have a huge, tree like root coming out of the ground. It's green and hard as a rock. This thing has a massive root system. Knowing that now, I may just opt for the 5 gal bucket on the next merry-go-round. Either way she looking incredibly healthy, and if all goes according to plan we should be done in approx 4-5 weeks!

Enjoy some weed porn for the night. I am going to smoke a bowl.

wait a minute, i do have something to add. i got a couple 32 gal. rubbermaids ontop of each other too, but im just using ge fluorescent tubes, not cfls. are you using nutes? i just started my second batch with fox farm nutes and i can see the difference, def worth it. the only thing that sucks bout rubbermaids is opening it. you got some brackets on one end, so it opens like a crocodile mouth (couldnt think of a better example)? get a chair or something u can rest the lid on while you do your work inside. your shits working, def, good shit. also, i noticed a cat food dish. dunno bout yours but my cat wouldnt leave my box alone, fuckin with the cords and shit. using aluminum foil or mylar?

Hey Tim! I am using nutes. I was shy with it at first, having read so many people burning plants. I literally just use the FoxFarm Tiger Bloom and there is a definite flowering vigor when I feed. I will be getting the rest of the 'Core' line. The Grow Big and Bloom Big(I think that's the names).

As far as the opening and closing, I found the same issue, but instead of brackets I simply used velcro on one side of the box. So mine opened like a hotdog bun rather than an alligator's mouth. It works for me and makes sure the box lid is stable enough. Funny that you notice the cat food haha. It's my girlfriends, I am not a huge fan of domesticated animals in general, with the exception of reptiles, amphibians etc. This cat is super chill though. He'd rather use the energy to lick himself.

I am using aluminum tape, which comes in a roll that looks like a roll of scotch tape. It's aluminum with a sticky side. I like it, though I should have done mylar. I am going to go over it with mylar when the grow is done. Early on the aluminum was creating a heat issue, but since I ordered the larger PC type fan, it's been smooth sailing.

Thanks you for the positive feedback. If you post your grow send me the link so I can follow.

UPDATE! - Flowering Week 5 - Hello to my fellow RIUers and followers. I am sorry I have not updated in about a week, but it's only because it's been easy sailing. The buds are starting to plump. It's starting to really drink water and nutes. I am starting to get the formation of lots of trichs so that's exciting...plus it looks great when she's wet ;) Anyway this stage has been smooth. Water everyother day (now it's once a day..thirsty girl) and nutes every other watering. Plenty of light and fresh air. I am looking forward to chopping this baby down and smoking some smooth herb. Oh and a great smell had emerged. It's a smell of berries, almost like fruity pebbles and weed. I'm in love. Well I will stop blabbing. Here's my baby as of tonight.

Wow big update from last week to now. Buds are really connected and not looking like individual flowers. They look really nice.
