First grow seeds or clones? Collective.

I've been planning on starting my first grow for a while now. I ordered 10 fem WW seeds from nirvana about a month ago and still have not recieved them and their customer support is not working right now. I'm starting to wonder if I should just try to buy clones from a collective. I live in Hollywood.
Does anyone know anywhere to buy clones and how much I should expect to pay.

Once I get my grow going I plan on running a journal, which should be interesting since I'm in a small studio and want to grow as much as possible. I will post ideas on what I have in mind but mighht move to the apartment next door so have to wait until then.

I'm also interested in starting a collective. Is there anyone here who has started a collective in Cali and is familiar with the med marijuana laws here?

Ok, I had too many questions. How much should I expect to pay for clones in Hollywood area?

I've heard bad things about dispensary clones if thats what you mean. Its a big market and they don't always take good care of them, lots of cuttings will be tiny or have mites. If you know a trusted source its always best to start with clones. I've never had any problems with nirvana though, they have great customer service when it does work. I prefer to get my beans from attitude though

go clones if you can find quality ones. save a heck of a lot of time weeding out males and sucky pheno types. if you have a friend that grows that has a good strain, that's the best way to start. between all my bro's we have about 25 kick ass strains we share.

im new to growing too i have clones nd seeds. nd i think i like the clones better. . . .

i have never had a prob with nirvanna or customer support, i have had many reply's from Alice and find them very useful, however i am based in uk, i believe there in Holland. grow your 10 ww from seed during the veg stage take a clone from each plant and put them under 12/12 , as soon as they pre flower chuck em back under 18/6 or 24/0. this my friend is the best way if your not gonna rely on others clones, make sure you label which clone is from which plant, then you will not only sure they are all ladies, but you will have a clone mother of all your plants, so, when you flower the 10 seedlings and you think to yourself hmmm that 1 grew fat, then you can have it for generations, my grow room has been bug free for 3 years, i wouldnt add others clones there just in case, this is only advice and the way i grow, others will have differnt opinions but this method is fool proof , peace and good luck

As others have said, if you have a good local source for clones, buy some clones. Expect to pay $9-$15 each...it just depends on the store and the strain. Better yet, strike a deal with someone else who grows.

You can find a club in your area at weedmaps.com or just do a search on google. I am medical also but live in Northern California, the clubs in Sacramento have a great selection of clones that are in good health and have always done well for me.

Thanks guys. Alice says she'll resend my seed order. And I think I'll look into the dispensaries too. Thanks for the weedmaps. There's tons of places within walking distance of my place
