this is where it starts to gets hard for me to resist 'accidentally' breaking off a lil bud ... I figure I'm looking at a month to go. you look like your about there too.
Did you pollinate any? I think the one i pollinated has slowed its growth a little... just not getting quite as fat as the others. I can see seeds cooking in there so i'm excited but damn... it was my biggest plant. i hope it just takes longer and doesnt suffer too much yield.

I know what you mean about wanting to cheat. The smell makes my mouth water, and I know there is enough sweet sticky for a good tasty buzz.. How many times have we fallen for that excuse. 
I figure at least 4 weeks, probably 6 they are starting to fill in nicely but I would love to watch them pack on weight for that long. Breeder count puts them done on the 3rd. I plan on harvesting in at least two stages to teach the difference of maturity on taste/effect to the younger grower while developing my own personal data on the strain.
I decided not to pollenate this go in the cabinet. I admit partially because of your earlier comment about the slow down. It got me thinking about the basic processes. and .my ultimate goals for the current strains I have. Fortunately I am not in need of seeds, (I have backups in case of catastrophic failure of entire crop) and I am also fortunate to have one (at least) lovely healthy female specimen of each of those strains. And a Viable clone of the favorite PK in the cabinet right now.
Our grows are so close in setup, we share a strain, and our views and approach seem to be pretty close (LOL, My daughter was here when you mentioned being a "sis" and laughed. said you remind her of my sister) I figure I can learn from your experience while learning my plants and then selectively pollenate the gorilla crew or the clone of the PK. I collected pollen from a Lemon Ice and two White Widow/Sour Diesel

I had read that there was a reduction in yield when you pollinate but the consensus seemed to be that just one branch wouldn't be a big deal. Of course I wont know until i get a dry weight but it does look like yield has suffered. This plant was probably a few days to a week ahead of the others and now its dropping to second. The buds are still impressive but they are are not as fat as the other.... could also be just appearance... the other plant is shorter and fatter in general.I know what you mean about wanting to cheat. I've got a clone of the seeded plant in veg now... i'll flower it soon and then I'll know for sure if it was the seeds that slowed it down.

lol remember the fist time you grew..... started 'tasting' buds at like 3-4 weeks into flower.... then got sick when we saw what they would have grown into if we had left them alone!

Yep.... Been there done that. And as I told the daughter .... That's part of it and will probably happen again. But ya, what you take for 1 bowl at 3-4 weeks turns into a quarter bag in a month. I wonder which one we will sample this weekend. LMAO

How ya like my gorilla tomato trellis experiment.
Six buckets with three types of tomatoes. Hope to just walk up and pluck em like apples. No fuss no muss.
Once the lattice goes on the back a couple of girls go underneath. Going to try Light Manipulation and harvesting mid summer and it should give me easy anchor points for blackout cloth.

Where did you get that idea? That's awesome! 'gorilla' means you are growing on someone else's land.... did you mean 'stealth' outdoor? People hate when i point out things like that so sorry! i can't help it ... its the woman in me.
So you'll put up black cloth to restrict the light to 12/12? Sounds like a ton of work but if you get 'outdoor' yields it will be well worth it!
Bad news for me today.... I had three temple kush seeds... lost all three to 'damping off' had no clue what that was since I've never lost a seedling before (it hurts my pride a lil). Totally my fault... i reused soil that I had set up for clones.. apparently sitting in the humidity dome for a few weeks ruined it and promoted fungus.
Growing 101.. never reuse soil (unless you sterilize it). What a noob I am! I am SUPER lucky the guy who got the seeds from the CC has more and is willing to let me start over with a few. Buying organic seed starter this time.

I knew the "gorilla" would be caught by someone. ....and I'm glad it was you. But alas "I" get to call it that because I put it in my daughters yard. Lol.
It probably will end up more work than I want but like you said. if it works as planned it might be worth it. It will be a learning experience and if it gets to be too much, I will have gotten some good outdoor lighting for awhile and I will bring them in.
Sorry to hear about the girls. I feel your pain. I ended up with 9 living clones in the cloner from trying to sex them that way. Right after transplant all but 4 dropped like flies. One of the remaining after cleaning up the muck there was only one leaf with roots on it. It is still just one leaf while the biggest clone has put on three nodes.
Asking myself the question of reused soil at the moment also. I want to get a full organic compost soil recycle system going. I have a 4x4x3 foot bin now that is about 5 years old. I am moving it over about 6 feet. And plan on dropping a plant right in the middle of the footprint once the compost is back into the bin. I will need a three box system and it will take a three year cycle to rejuvenate the used soil. Because dang, my wife decided she liked the ffof around here so I'm heading for another 5 bags tomorrow. (two of which will be backpacked outback with a couple of gorilla girls.

I reuse my soil all the time with out sterilization (that would kill all the good microbes) - I simply add about 20% new soil & pearlite, re-amend and away we go.
Never had a problem.

Oh ya! the idea came from the desire for greenhouse for outdoor stealth.
Lattice on the far neighbors side, shell outs (green beans) growing up all the posts and the tomatoes covering the top. You wont be able to see the inside except from the garden , my daughters kitchen, or my master bathroom. Then as the season wans It can be covered as a greenhouse to extend some food greens into early/mid winter.

I've done it in the past with no problems either but.... i have three dead seedlings from 'damping off' so i wont be using it for seedlings at least.

Thanks for the link. It will keep me from having to search. I had read some of it not too long ago and knew I would be coming back to it. It will make interesting reading tonight. I plan on moving the compost bin tomorrow, so hopefully it will spark another cool design idea like the tomato trellis.

Shoot. wanted to take some pictures under florescent lights before the lights went out and I was typing and missed it. by ten minutes. The cabinet is running itself mainly since I've been outside. We did have a heat spell for a bit over a week and I had to add a small ac in the window instead of kicking on the whole house. 7 degrees seems to be the magic number for room/cabinet temperature difference. It never got above 83 in the cabinet but the outside temp didn't drop below 72 at night so it slowly overwhelmed the room even with the door open. The AC came in handy for humidity too. it was 75% ambient ac brought it down to 65% in the room and the cabinet settled in at 48% @ 80 deg. I'm kind of disappointed I missed lights out. I didn't get to see the girls except for a quick opening of the door to grab my Super Thrive for use while transplanting a lemon tree.

I'm interested in learning how your "tomatoe shield" works out. I'm a newb and so far doing okay. I just don't like the lack of privacy or the ability to black out when I want. Right now I have a plant that began to preflower and because of season the lower preflower a began to die off by time I caught the preflower signs. But since the. I have been placing it my garage for 12 hours a night. So far so good healthy preflower a n all.
I just bought my house last year and hopefully this winter I will be building a produce garden and if what your doing works I would very much like to plane my garden design around that. I am only intending to keep growing 5 plants at different stages.
My first two autos I made big boo boos on and well though they are low riders they are really low. One seems to have roughly a half to an oz of buds worth on it and is only 12 inches tall. The other is 8 inches maybe but I topped it and it has been growing new fan leaves and still flowering. We live we learn lol. My other three plants don't appear to be autos (as I said I place one in the garage). The other two are roughly the same size at about 2 feet. The one I place in the garage is nearly 3 feet.
I have no idea what strains I have because I bought medicine and used the seed from there. If I can't get cloning right then I will buy known strands from a reputable depot.
Which by the way, any organic cloning tips? I'm trying one right now with organic soil pinched up tight to stem. The feed source for roots is organic honey. I've seen a few video tutorials of people using honey because of the sugars and the ant-bacterial elements. Any advice will be appreciated.

All you need to clone is your preferred medium (i use peat based seed starter and perlite) and a humidity dome (seed starter domes with the trays from walmart and family dollar for 5-8 bucks). Cut with clean sharp scissors at an angle (so the stem has a point) and put them in the medium/soil ... water, put the dome on and leave them alone! I usually dont have to water them often at all and when I do, I water the bottom tray so the roots are encouraged to grow down to get it. I have about 85-90% success (failures are always due to me 'checking' them too often and/or the cutting was too small). In veg stage they take about 10 days to root, in flower they take longer, I have one now on day 17 and the roots are just getting big enough to transplant.
Its really not that complicated and you'll get the hang of it quick. There are tons of methods... some just stick them in water with an airstone. Main thing to know is... leave them alone once they are set.

These are two clones from the same plant that I cut during veg stage on April 5th. They have been vegging for just over a month and I put them into flowering chamber today.
@GrowPops these are the two that I'm doing the side/by/side on. One is topped twice and one is being trained ... we'll know in a few months which produces better yields.
I'm winding the main stem of the super cropped plant around the edge of the pot.. in a circle like. Right now the topped plant is slightly taller, however, I just did the 2nd topping so it wont get any taller right away.
