First Grow SOG white widow max

Im doing my first multi plant grow and thought I would look for some comments and critics there all appreciated. I ordered 40 white widow max seeds and will be using the bottom trimmings of the plants for clones (May pull 1 for a mother though haven't decided due to limited space in other rooms). I put together a 40 site aeroponics set up using expanded clay pellets. Im going to be growing in a room that is 5ft wide 9ft long and 8ft high. The room is covered in mylar i have my ventilation set up and will be using co2. I also have 3 400w lights that I will be changing the bulbs between hps and mh. I was wondering if this would be sufficient space for sog and also if this would be good lighting. I plan on running the lights down the center of the 4 rows. I have only had experience with soil growing individual plants and decided its time for a challenge. Thank You for any help

pics! I like the sounf of a clean mylar room. I grow in tents and mylar is a pita to think about. About the 400s. I dont see many of those for sogs. Thought about an upgrade to 600s or even 2 1000s? The buds would be better developed! But everybody has their own situation.

Aero sounds like some fun. Give you a lot to dial in. 40 sounds fun. Why the mh and hps? Must be to veg for a week or two? Ever read the albfuct thread? OR the stinkbud aero sog thread. That made hightimes and he has his own company now, lol. GL. I am into every thing but aero so far.

Thanks for the tips. I had almost all the equipment given to me minus the seeds, aero, mylar and co2 that the reason I figured Id veg for a week or two since I had both sets of bulbs. But Im think about upgrading to the 600's and flowering after I get to 8". I will keep everyone posted with some pics as soon as I get everything together and growing. Widows do well in a 4 per square foot SOG. If you do well with the White Widows try a few White Russians. They are a cross between White Widow and AK47. They are even whiter than White Widows. A bit shorter however.

Thanks I think I might give that a try. I have smoked white Russian b4 and it was amazing. I will consider that for my next grow I would like to keep at least one of the widows that looks the best for a mother and perhaps try a couple different strains over my next couple grows.

The problem I find with the white widows is they vary so much from seeds. A few great ones and a lot of taller lesser quality ones. I have never gotten more than two good mothers from ten seeds. The white russians average at least three or four good mother quality plants from ten seeds They all germinate well and the ratio of female to male is usually about 6 to 4 or 7 to 3.

Hmm that something to consider I always order feminized seeds but I wonder if the yield would be better with White Russian over widow. Love trying new strands for growing. Heard good reviews about the Max white widow thought it would be the right path.

Un stressed seedlings at worse usually average 50% females or more. Usually more. I have always found it strnge that people will spend over double to buy fen menized seeds. Especially when their germination rates is usually a lot lower than standar seeds. I guess for a seed grower rather than someone simply starting seeds for mother plants for cloning it has its advantages. Personally I have always found feminized sedds to produce less health y seedlings that lag behind regular seeds quite a ways.
