First grow, stealth closet SOG tent

Hey guys!
so yea im very new to all this so any feedback would be MUCH appreciated. I realize that a first time grower shouldnt expect much for the first harvest but going to try and get a decent yeild that could make it worth the materials :)

So to start off im going to be using a tent approx. 48"x24"x60". Which will be stashed in an apartment closet. Still need to order squirrel cage blower and hp light, thinking something around 400w hps. Theres a nice hydro store close by that i picked up the propagating bed from so think i may check that out sometime this week. If anyone has feedback on what type of blower would be best for that area im using would be appreciated. Using 2 computer fans as intake and hopefully that will provide sufficient airflow.

The plants are at the germinating stage right now. I have 25 seeds in rockwool cubes which had spent the first night germin. in paper towels... biiig mistake as ive read from other reliable forum posters. But none of the seeds split so hopefully theres a good turn out here and none of the seeds were lost to improper germination. Dials are sitting comfortably at 25oC and 95% humidity with a dome over it and i layed down some perlite under the bed to hold a bit more moisture.

So thats the set-up so far! i will post pictures when sprouting occurs or if the equipment for the tent arrives. Whichever comes first.. Guess thats all for now. Just one question about the watering. How much water should you give your seedlings in rockwool before and after the seeds sprout?? I heard that you cant over-water (to a reasonable extent) but so far ive been completely drenching the cubes 3 times a day for the past 2 and do a whole lot of misting while watering to keep the humiditiy up.

Ive made a slight change of plans in the past few days as to how im going to do the setup. The lights i found would produce too much heat for the small area that theyre given so im using 3 CFLs on parabolic clamp reflectors. This seems to produce minimal heat and the plants love the spectrum that can be given with 2 2700k and one 6500k. This is just for vegging right now i will replace one of the 2700k when its time to flower these ladies.

The bubbleponics system is completely set up, with a waterpump with attached water manifold, airpump attached to 4 airstones (2 in each rubbermaid) and mylar on all sides of the closet. The system runs at very low noise which is perfect as it is in the same room as where i sleep. One problem that i have encountered is that the water coming out of the water manifest is coming out in streams as apposed to dripping like i read in a diy tutorial by roseman. This occurs even when the airstones are on and doesnt seem to be having an effect either way. Im thinking it might be because the air pump isnt strong enough to produce sufficient bubbling, or that the filter on the inside of the pump blocks the air from coming in while allowing water. Either way i could really benefit from a solution, ill post the materials here and can hopefully get a picture up of the setup today or tomorrow.

Here is the eco air pump 12w with 4 exhausts.

12" airstones(not sure if they make a difference)

The water pump, which pumps approx. 2.3 gpm(138 gph)

The sprouts are doing great so far! about 2 inches out of their rockwool cubes and the ajacent leaves are starting to come in so probably need to add some nutrients in there soon. Like i said before ill try to get pictures of the setup up as soon as possible and post any updates. Cheers!

just enoough to keep them moist and nto dry out.DO NOT OVER WATER THEM NOW.

Yesterday i hooked up the bubbleponics system to the cups. Finally solved the issue with water pump not getting enough bubbles into the system. By removing the airstones and the pump filter you can just put the tubes from the air pump right into the water pump. heres some pictures of the setup, they received their first 1/4 dose of nutrients today so hopefully that will help them stand a little straighter.

I give mine 1/4 dose of nutes, after I see 4 full leaves, not counting the little round ones.

been a few days since ive updated this thread and a lot has happened since!
The old system with 3 hanging reflector lights just wasnt working out for the setup, the plants at the edges of the rubbermaids werent getting enough light while the rest of them werent getting enough spectrum. I built a fixture in order to even out the light distribution as well as be able to easily move the lights up or down. Also added another CFL 42w bulb in there to get more lumens output.

The plants are looking great as is! i feel like i can safely call them plants now as they are no longer seedlings :) Theyve been flushed and replenished once and going to do it again tomorrow while adding a new batch of nutes. Im going to stick to the 1/4 dose that i gave them 4 days ago as it seemed to have given the plants on the left bucket a bit of brown spotting and tips crusting due to neutrient burn. Hope that this can be solved with time to adjust to the new neutrients, but ill add a little less in that bin next time, maybe 1ml less. Anyways heres my new gallery, this is my plants on day 15!
