I think it's easy done. The most noted rule of thumb I've seen, is to stick your finger down into the dirt, and only water when it comes out bone dry. That's what I've been living on, I then give her a real good drenching and just leave her be. Found now I put in about 3/4 of a litre once every 3-4 days.
