Ooops sorry now you do haha. I just tied my bottom most branches to the main shoot...should I keep doing more or wait till they get a bit bigger?

You`re looking to tie into a `spade` kind of look from the side. You can release the ties after the next couple weeks and you`ll have a uniform bushy structure. Tie your shoots about 60% up from the bottom so the heads actually have some flop room. Good job

Haha okay that makes sense. I started doing it made it about 50% up the main stem and then the lights went off for the day so I will finish up when the lights turn back on. Man is that shit sticky!

Totally !! That`s some good training bud. Could even lightly work the plant tissues above the tie points on your shoots, `Micro-Cropping`almost, haha. Those will come up nice, your weight time is coming soon .. :megreen:

Awesome thanks man! So I should do the same with some of the branches above the tie point and keep it looking like a tulip? Is that what you are referring to micro cropping?
So based on what you see lets have a gentlemen's bet on how many ounces you think this plant will produce. Maybe a couple more weeks and we can make a more accurate guess. I am going to say 3 ounces....maybe a little on the low side but I don't want to get my hopes up haha so if it turns out better than that I will be happy.
Yes I definitely think I should have topped it....or if not that then not let it grow so damn much in veg lol oh well I've learned so many more things. I mean its one thing to spend months doing research but once you actually give it a go....its amazing how much shit you learn especially from members of RIU like yourself. Can't thank you enough man!

You bet! By weakening the stems and making them flop (persay), the canopy will fold out, and back up to the light. Just have to remember the farther you get into flower, the riskier to intensely train. Hence the `mild` approach

I try to reinforce this when I talk to other people interested in growing doing their research. I tell them, get some seeds, plant them, record as you go. Getting help from a forum is just a good proactive step, thankfully there`s a lot of great people here at RIU, and I try to learn from all of them as well

Man had to trim a lot of leaves because they started to turn yellow.....is this normal? I mean I would think its a bit early to start losing so many leaves? What could that be? Iron deficiency? My PH is at 7.0 exactly.

PH of 7 will be fine Caddy, could use a bit lower if you could, my SSH liked right around 6.6-6.7. This is normal for your your leaves at this point, will begin losing N quickly during flower as it`s using as much Phos and Potash right now as possible for the flower production. Looking nice now, coming up on my favourite time for the SSH, bulk time

Sweet thanks man! I was almost worried that some of the pistols are already turning amber....is that normal?
Also I got ph down but im not even sure I know how to use that stuff....i put a very small amount in a container and i see it drop but after a few minutes its back up to 7.0.....im not sure if im doing it right. My running water here is at 7.0

I don`t use PH down or up unless I have to. Dolomite lime to as top dressing and watered to drop, or sulphur the same method to increase. Keep an eye on those trichs as well, they`ll tell you more than anything when she`s done. I try to pull with maybe 50-60% amber 25-30% cloudy. Can`t wait to see next week,

Dolomite lime to as top dressing and watered to drop? Not sure what you mean by that. How can I use a gallon of water that has a constant ph of 6.5 and water my plants with it? Is there a certain amount of dolomite lime to use per 1 gallon of 7.0 ph water?

Sorry, haha, just a teaspoon of fine dolomite lime dressed on top of your medium and water as usual, won`t affect your water going in, but your soil PH will stay where you want it. That`s what`s important
. Keep in mind when you`re adding ph`d water, you`re simply balancing the water and ph levels. The same for the sulphur to up the ph if necessary, like re-used soil.Also with good soils, ph is rearely a concern, I never check ph for instance, using distilled water and either new, or refertilized, composted soil, I never have an issue, dead between 6.4-7.4 all the time. Feel free to ask away
