First grow, T5 fluorescents

So its been awhile since I updated my grow, I've run into a few problems that I'm hopefully gonna solve tomorrow. My temp during the day is running a steady 80-82F which I would feel better if it was more like 78F. I'm also pretty sure my pH is to low, I gotta get a better tester tomorrow because I have a pool one and you gotta match the color with the corresponding color which only goes down to 6.8....so anything lower and its all assumption 
. Its actually starting to smell pretty skunky in the closet already so if they do turn out female at least I know it'll smell dank 
. I'm beginning to learn how to read my plants and I've experienced with some things so I can see how the plants look and react to certain situations, even though they probably put stress on the plants it was for a better learning curve. Anyway here are some pics from today.

Alright so today is day 28 for my plants. I cant remember what day the other plants are on but I'm guessing around 2 weeks for the one in the red cups and 3 weeks for the other one. I have one question which i would really like some peoples opinion on, Should I transplant the three bigger plants into a bigger pot? They are in 1 gallon pots and I was thinking maybe that's why the growth has been pretty slow, because the roots are getting bound up. I'm gonna transplant the other plants tomorrow.
Anyway here are some pics from this morning. I moved the light up a bit to get some better pics.

Alright so today I moved the three bigger plants into flowering, About a week and a half ago I transplanted them into 3 gallon square buckets. I have 3 warm bulbs and 1 cool bulb in the t5 system. They are already showing pre-flowers, which I'm pretty sure the 2 bigger ones are female and the smaller one is a male. I'm not totally positive about the male so I'm going to give it a few days before I pull it. All that work and nutes and it turned out male.....but I guess I'll just make a little bit of hash out of him. I've topped all the other plants and put them and some clones in a temporary vegging chamber until I can set up a nicer one. I'm so stoked that I'm flowering now, though I am worried that one of my plants will be getting to big, I'll deal with it as it comes i guess. I think they're lookin pretty sexy though!

what up bezzin
plants all look super healthy. if you take a few pics near the inter nodes we might be able to help ya sex the plants. be prepared for them to get at least twice the height maybe 3x by the time flowering is done. might need to look into side lighting. not sure if a t5 will penetrate that far. like the set up. i am very interested in seeing what these lights can do.

Weedyweedy- Thanks for tunin in man, and yeah I actually think that's because i was messin around with it a little bit before i took the pics....I was lookin for hairs lol.
Crazytrain- Thanks bro, I'll get some pics of the nodes as soon as I can snag a camera from work. My Iphone doesn't focus on stuff that close. I have a friend that will let me use his MH/HPS since its getting way to hot in his grow room, but I want to see how a t5 setup works out all the way through.

Thought I'd update today. Everything is going great! I have one more watering of open sesame then I'm on to Beastie Bloom. The plants are getting really tall, especially the sativa. I'm gonna have to get chains instead of these pulleys im using to hold up my lights. The pulleys only let my light go so high. I've noticed that the t5's dont penetrate well, like everyone says they dont. I have 4 main colas on each plant that are growing really well. I took some pics of the little ones that i through into flowering. They're growing great too! I just wanted to see how much I would yield off a smaller plant so i know when I feel the best time to start flowering is. I also made some cuttings today, I know your not supposed to when in flowering but I kinda had to. I'm gonna try to update once a week, so keep droppin by.
Also the pics aren't that good, I was kinda in a rush. I also pulled the male two days ago, the other two are for sure female!

Op, what up RIU. So here's an update about my ladies. Everything is going good, did my last watering of Open Sesame on Wednesday. So now its on to the Beastie Bloom. I pulled my male about half a week ago and tried to make some hash, didnt really get anything but atleast I learned the process. I wanna go to an HPS so bad because I know it will increase my yield, but I really wanna see what these T5's can do. I've looked all over for a good t5 harvest but there's very few and they never post the dried weight they got from each plant. Enough talk tho, here's some pics.
P.S. these pics were takin the day I watered, Wednesday.
I tried to show all the white hairs in the pics but it didn't turn out as well as i thought.

So I got some bad news for you RIU. The lady that was budding the fastest (the one that i think is an indica) has shown some upsetting news. I'm pretty sure she has hermied on me. I've pulled of multiple "nuts" and squeezed them, it looked as if it had some kinda yellow stuff in it which I am guessing is pollen. I was hoping they were just swollen calyxes but doesn't look like that the case. I can't kick the lady to the curb....Mentally. I can't move it to a new location either. I think I'm just gonna search her everyday plucking off all the nuts i see.
I've looked for light leaks and there might be one, which i've taken care of. It could be bad genetics tho. I'm just gonna see how it goes. Atleast I'm learnin shit from experience.

So I was pretty bummed about finding out I had a hermie....then to top it all off I found out the smaller plant hermied on me as well, that's no surprise tho because that one went under quite a bit of stress. Anyway, I was all bummed and started to do research on hermies and what I can do. I ended up reading a forum on a guy who us Dutch Master "Reverse" which is supposed to kill all male sacks and turn a hermie back to a full grown female!! So I bought some of that hermie killer today and tried it out. I'll let ya know if it turns out good. I hope it does.

If you have access to a hps and your room can handle the heat i would suggest grabbing that from your friend...I just harvested my first plant under T5s and am somewhat disappointed(would be more disappointed but i prepared myself haha). The lower buds are not nearly as dense and didn't really fill out...that being said it looks pretty dank. The link to my fluoro tube grow is in my signature if your want to skim through some of the pics and evaluate for yourself. Oh and the plant that i harvested hermied too, but late stage bananas, no pollen sacks. I think with bagseed this is usually a genetic thing, that's probably how you got your seeds....either way nice grow subscribed!

Thanks for subscribin bro, and for all the info. I just read through your thread. Gave me a little bit more hope for my plants. I think the buds are really really small for the time they have been in flowering. But it looks like they will explode here pretty soon according to your pics. I would take my friends HPS but I think its gonna get way to hot in my closet. Its already a steady 78, and I'm in an Apt so I dont wanna have to get a noisy ass vent system. I'm hopefully moving into a house in June and will get an HPS for sure.
What was your final weight on the whole plant just not that main cola. Did you top your plants?
I'm just gonna have to see how it goes. It does look like that REVERSE stuff I used worked because i see no signs of new pollen sacks. I'll wish for the best and expect the worst. Then i wont be let down haha.
