At first i didnt see the point of a grow journal but im really lookin for some feedback on how my plants are lookin so far.

First of all, im growin bagseed that was germinated in peatmoss cubes and then transplanted into scotts potting soil w/ some perlite. At 3 weeks i started miracle grow all purpose plant food (i think its like 8-7-6). Now, my babies are almsot 5 weeks old and im about to start 12/12. They're currently on 18/6.

Let me know what you think!

looks all good..i'd transplant them too slightly larger pots before flowering then u should upgrade too a 400 watt HPS...awsome plants

My tallest is about 12 inches and they're all in 3.5 gallon pots. do i really need bigger pots?? i just transplanted them from 1.5 gallons.

As for the lights, for now each plant has its own 75w CFL.i was thinking of looking into HpS but would it get too hott in there?

I dont think you need a bigger pot at this stage especialy if you flower them soon. As for the HPS yes the HPS lamps will require venting and a lot of air movement. If money is tight I would look in too some t-5 flourecents. I have read many things about them and they seem to give off very little heat. Also I belive the CFLs that you are using are compairable to a 75w incandecent bulb but it only uses around 30w of electricity. They look good so far. Keep up the good work.

No you dont need bigger pots infact the 1.5 gallon pots woulda been just fine from start to finish.

After reading & seeing fdd2blk grow some large ass plants from start to finish in 1/2 gallon pots ive switched about half my 3 gallon pots after harvest to 1 gallon pots & they are all fine, once the next round is harvested i'll have all the rest of the 3 gallon pots replaced with smaller 1 gallon pots, more floor space equals more plants, rootbound is a bunch of shit.

They look real good. I advise start flowering asap and use an HPS or conversion bulb if possible. If you don't hurry they will grow very tall, so prepare to bend or tie down.

Puff puff pass!

still doesnt matter. if you are a good grower and use a 5 gal pot. you will get a shit load more. like up to 5 oz's.. and if the plant gets bigger, and is pruned. you get 4 big ass colas.

Well, we just had 3.5 gallon pots laying around so i used those. And i do plan to flower soon (friday!!) because i dont have much space so i cant have them too tall.

So keep your fingers crossed for some (or all) Females!!

So im gonna start flowering today, im wicked excited. What nutes are best for flowering? like, what would be a good NPK ppm?

The way you get more yeild is with longer veg time, which can be accomplished without a 5 gallon pot.

that was my thought too. so i vegged 5 weeks and now im just being impatient and going to flower. they're like a foot tall and have some real nice growth coming up the bottom.

Flowering at 1tf tall will get you plants that end up around 3ft tall when finished, bagseed can make excellent buds too.

Bagseed buds.

Its the cost of running a grow op my friend,no way around it,you can filter the air though to seriously decrease the smell.

Research carbon scrubbers.

and you my friend are wrong. go look at what fdd's done.shit, my old man(dad), has grown 5 to 6 foot tall plants, that have yielded over a half lb. each in 3 gallon pots....so ya I guess you really need those big ass buckets to make it worth while huh? as far as I can tell, given the proper nutes and care, pot size doesnt really affect to much other than the frequency of waterings/feedings. I am begin to feel that "root bound" is a good blanket term for an unknown problem with your plant, and thats about it.

edit: after speaking to my dad this afternoon.... last plant was 7' tall, just as wide, and was 19.3oz of dried manicured bud. out door, in approx. a four gallon pot....just more proof bigger pots arent needed for bigger pot.

I have 2 females!! i was checkin my plants today and noticed some white hairs coming out of the new growth on two out of my seven. The rest havent started to show balls, so no balls is good news lol.

My fingers are crossed for the rest of them!!

ill try to post some new pix soon, they grew soooo much since i started 12/12
