First Grow Video

http://youtu.be/MyJceHr7yIMHey everyone.
So I've been a long time smoker and finally decided to try my own grow. I've never seen a grow before so I based this entirely off forums and advice from friends who did small one plant closet grows. I'm really praying for 2 lbs off this but I know it's probably wishful thinking. Anyway I'm posting a link to my first grow video so please leave comments or suggestions on how I can improve it. I already know my scrog was jacked up I begin with so I'm going to make one out of PVC next time around. I'm using a variety of Advanced nutes and they seem to be working well. I'll list them all if anyone's interested. But my equipment is 1000w HPS in a 5x5x8 tent. I have nine plants all in seven gallon air-pots which I hand feed twice daily. I try to keep my pH around 6.4 and my nutes between 1200-1300 ppm. Temperature never exceeds 83 and usually hovers around 78. I also am running compressed CO2 for around 6 hours when lights are on and that hovers around 1100-1200 ppm. I know I should probably be around 1500 ppm for the entire duration of when the lights are on but doing that I go through a 20lb tank within a week. Thanks for taking the time to watch and respond. Appreciate all the help and these forums have helped me out tremendously.

One thing that is not included in the video is the vegetative weeks. From clone the plants have been in veg for roughly six weeks. They started off in one gallon air-pots and were transplanted into seven gallon pots after around 10 or so days, I can't quite remember. They started off with a drip feed (my DIY skills definitely need some work) and were being fed every 4 or so hours. Once they were transplanted into the larger pots I reverted back to hand watering because the drip was just not enough. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Welcome to RUI. Looking very good for your first grow. I like to see this with first grows. Just proves that forums like this actually work well for smart people that do their research long enough about every aspect.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Dibbsey. Definitely a ton to still learn through reading and good old experience but I will keep posting photos and updating the videos on my YouTube channel. I should probably also mention the strain that I'm growing. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on some Girl Scout Cookie clones and decided since it's my first grow and all, rather than mixing up strains and having issues with different plant sizes, structure, nutrient uptake, flower time, etc. I thought it would be best just to stick with one strain. I'm aware a lot of newbie mistakes is the over eagerness of growing multiple strains without sufficient space.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm finding the growing community to be pretty friendly and I'm having a lot of fun growing, but any advice from veteran growers? Best way to maximize yield in a 5x5? First and foremost I want to grow QUALITY bud, but QUANTITY will help me recover from startup costs quicker.

Thanks again and you guys are awesome.

Photo Update: 9th day of flower. Pistils are starting to show and node spacing is getting tighter. Plants are getting dangerously close to the light. Most likely will end up having to buy a 1' tent extension :(

Any advice on using foliar sprays while flowering? Also I'm thinking I'm going to need to dual harvest to let the lower bud sites fully mature. How do I go about dual harvesting? Do I flush the plants, harvest, add nutrients, flush, and harvest? Or do I skip adding nutrients again and just let the lights do their thing? Thanks.

Removed a lot of the lower growth and am very pleased with the results. I'm loving the fact that the light is hitting the surface of the coco now.
