image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg What's up RIU. New to the forum thing but wanted to get some input on a small personal grow I have going.. Unsure on the strains but they come from high quality bags. - The 2 bigger plants are a month old.. I am using .... Wait for it... miracle Grow Organic... When I started thats all I could get so don't bother making this into hate on MG.. Seems to be working just fine and next time I will only use fox farms...anyhoo:joint:... I just started using fox farms grow big and they seem to be coming along nicely any tips would be great! Thanks bongsmilie

nothing wrong with mg organic.
Some pearlite might be good next time.
Welcome
Thanks char! I will keep that in mind for next round... The fox farms was introduced about 12pm today it's now 2:15 am and it looks like the plants took a Viagra... Good stuff it seems? Maybe I'll drink some before attempting to sleep with my wife again.

Looks pretty good.... but remember with cfls you need to get the bulbs as close to the plant without touching it... also remember to adjust them as they grow

CFLs produce very nice results. MG Organic also produces nice results. I think you're on your way to making some pretty nice buds. The pix are washed out. I can't see the actual color of the leaves through that yellow glare.

Congrats and welcome man.

Can tell you've done your studying by nipping and derog comments about MG in the bud (don't nip your bud just yet though). Actually I have also heard the organic is ok, like the others have said above.

Looks good and keep us updated, you have some responses from some members above that really know what they are doing and offer great advice!

Good luck!

cheers

Thank you all so much! It's so cool that this forum is available for us newbies ! I will try and get a better pic so u can see less glare of the lights.. They really seem to be growing nicely.. I will try some different fan spots to adjust the airflow, thank u for the tip! Although, I had the fans on the bigger plants like that since sprout and the stems are incredibly strong Fromm what im guessing is the direct airflow.. As for the lights... I've had them constantly about 1.5-2 inches away from the top since yesterday. . I raised them because it seemed that they grew real nice for the first couple weeks but then stopped getting taller.. So I raised the lights to encourage them to stretch.. Was that not a good idea? ... And yes I will be trying a different light set up from the CFL's next time to see what works best for me. (:

I can tell that you will easily pull a pound from that sweet ass setup. Start fimming the two big ones to encourage multiple bud sites... Then I can easily for sure say 2 lbs for sho!! Keep up the good work dog nutts.

Ahh yes.. They have put a dent In my wallet! I kinda find this whole process to be a small money pit but it's very enjoyable and I have learned a lot about plants.. I've even started an organic 10 ft veggie garden outside :)

Lol ! I started this thing in a home made box - and immediately wanted to upgrade but I'm not looking for quantity... Only personal and quality I topped this one image.jpg yesterday

One more question... How come they seem so small? I believe I put too little soil in at first.. If you can see from the pics.. So that could be an issue and I also just started using the FF GROW BIG nutes yesterday and they seemed to soak that stuff right up and love it. they are like my babies and I love them lol.. I will be sad to see one be a young man:cry: Also can any of you pros tell at all if they are leaning one way or the other? I wish we could all go grab a beer... I have so many questions :lol:

The pic is a little better. Looks like bleaching out in the areas in between the veins. That's a mag def. Try 1 tbsp Epsom salts/ gal water and spray onto the leaves. About every day won't hurt. What r u growing in? My glasses are not handy. Lol. Watch ur ph. 6.8 for soil. Coco? I forget but it's lower. A little dolo lime would help too

Keep on pinching the new growth to promote more bud sites. Mines is also a month old. Miracle grow soil. I think all the MG soil comes with 3 month nutrients already in place. I only use Cal-mag and plain water. No PHing shit cause these bitches are weed and will tolerate alot of abuse...................................like my daddy did me when I was 8(wiping tears out my eyes). Anyhow, keep it up bro and you will be alright.

I am going to assume this is sarcasm at its finest.

You are doing well with what you have to work with but hopefully you don't get discouraged when your net harvest is more like 1/4 lb max.

I'd be way more happy with that as I wouldn't know what to do with 3 lbs lol... This is my first time attempting this but I made sure to really read and try and get enough knowledge down.. It's endless! :) I would be cool if a couple ounces came out of it to be honest.
