Cool man, hope its got some decent taste...:weed:

BTW I bought another 42W CFL so now I've got 2 42's on the top nug (each side) and 2 26's on the rest of the plant. Guess I've got another 2 weeks or so before shes done huh?

Nice. That top bud is well lit now. That's obviously where most of your production will come from so if you can figure out a a way to get good light there, you'll usually always get a decent yield. As far as yield from this plant you can maybe expect around 14 grams. I forget what week you are in, but your plants still look young to me. Maybe another 20-30 days until they're ready to harvest? You could get more than 14, but probably not much. Hold a coke can or something right up beside that top nug, and snap a photo. Should be able to get a pretty accurate idea that way. Remind me, what week of flowering is it?

It's probably nothing compared to the other cola's we've seen on here, but aint too bad for a first grow. Start of the 9th week is tomorrow.

I love that you used a natty light can, it looks like you have at least a 7-8 g cola nug there, sweet.

hhmmm. Is this an indica plant ? or a Sativa plant?
Because Sativas take much longer, and this could explain why there are hardly any orange hairs, which you would expect there to be lots of by the 9th week of flowering an indica.

Another likely scenario is you accidentally delayed the flowering process. Even though you switch to a 12/12 light cycle, it's not a given your plant starts flowering right away. You may have been exposing your plants to light when they were supposed to be in their dark period of their 12/12 cycle, or the plant wasn't mature and has to finish developing before it truly began flowering. Now considering your plant looked it had been flowering only about 3 weeks when you posted at 5 weeks of flowering, I would say it didn't flowering right away, and you may have to wait another 2 weeks longer than normal.
Low light levels at first may have also delayed things a little. The main things is, you're on the right track now, just watch for the appearance of orange hairs. Your plant should be 3/4 orange hairs when it is ready to harvest.

It's actually kinda good your plan still looks so young for 9 weeks. This means it should get much bigger still, maybe even double in size. Make sure you are using a high (p) fertilizer (organic is best), try bat guano, or bone meal. Stir in a little molasses every second watering if you are not already doing that. Molasses also apparently has an N-P-K value although I'm not sure what it is, but the sugars will help fatten buds.

Haha yeah you know bongsmilie So when it dries up n shit does it condense at all? Cuz when I look at it up close its not all really connected together (the weed on the top nug)...I dunno how to explain my question im high as hell right now lmfao. I guess what I'm asking is...will the cola nug look like one big bug when dried up? So many damn leaves on it compared to other cola's I've seen on here!

Damn u are the man haha. I remember I coudln't tell the sex of the plant until 10 days into the 12/12 cycle. Your prolly right with saying that the plant might not have been mature enough yet.

A member on here said the plant was Indica, so that's what I've been going off of.

I have no idea about the molasses. Never used it and have no idea wtf were talking about here. Like straight up molasses u can buy to eat n shit or some special type lol?

Yea bra, straight up molasses. You should start using it right away, and I guarantee ,your bud will start to get fatter almost overnight. I know, it sounds fuckin weird, but it totally works. Try 1 Tbps stirred into your water, use it twice a week during flowering right up until you harvest. Like I said before, your plants needs another 2- 3 weeks anyway, so there's lots of time to fatten that baby up with some molasses.

I must admit I've never seen such a leafy top, but this mean there's lots of bud sites in there too somewhere. Between the added light and the molasses, it will stat to widen out, and I wouldn't be surprised if you got that top to be as fat as a beer can when it's all said n' done. You might even harvest more than and 1/2 oz.

Like this stuff man? How the hell u mix such sticky shit into water?!?

hahaha i thought the same thing, but just pour it in and mix it up...i just used a gallon jug, poured in the tbsp or tsp or whatever:joint:, screwed the cap on, walked outside(just incase), and shook it for like 60 seconds, and it was all mixed in

Hey guys,
About 5 weeks into 12/12 cycling phase. Would like some input on how you guys think the plant's doing. Also, anyway to tell the approx yield yet? The top of the plant has one big nug so far...looks a bit stemmy but whatever its my first grow haha.

looking healthy but small, if u can grow from start to finnish for the first time and end up with some nice smokeable bud it is a success, goodluck.

Update - I started using molasses 2 days ago...will feed it to the plant twice a week. I was eager to try some out last night so I cut a small nug off and put it in the oven at 175*F for about 20 minutes. When I grinded the bud up and opened the grinder it looked like fuckin brocolli lmao. Inside of the bud was still very moist. Long story short, I dried it a bit more before packing it. It had to have been some of the smoothest smoke I've smoked ever. Very nice high and no downer afterwards. Here's some pics -

The cola hasn't really gotten much bigger since I started giving it molasses...can you really notice a difference right away?

Thanks man. I wish the buds underneath the cola were bigger tho...they don't seem like they've grown much for the last couple days.

your plant itself looks really healthy. i think the only contructive criticism is that you have a lot of stretching. this is when the plant stretches out really tall but is is not bushy. you can see that you will get a few big colas so you are gonna get a few big long nugs. but you wont get all the other little 4 and 5 gram nugs that grow all over a bushy plant. because a shorter bushy plant will still have a main cola of probably close or more than a half oz and on top of that it will have another ounce or two of smaller nugs all around. while when you have a really tall skinny plant you get a few big colas but thats it.

a way to make you plant bushier is to get more cfls and put them very very close to the plant at all times in the grow process. as close as possible without burning the plant. i would suggest building a light apparatus similiar to seemorebud's in his grow 8oz with less than a $100 scrilla. great fucking book. thats what i use for lighting and my plants do great. i normaly have about 6 23w cfls for veg and up to 12 for flowering
