First grow - week 7

Hello everyone!

Since this is my first grow I’m in doubt if I should take some leafs out from the bottom of the plant or if i just leave it as it is. It seems too bushy for me at the bottom?



Also, I’m currently in week 7 since sprout , I have read this strain takes somewhere around 10 weeks (northrend light auto) to be harvested. What do you guys think? It’s in a good path for being harvested during that time frame or it will possible take much longer?

Looks like it's 2-3 weeks into flower. 7 more weeks is a pretty good ballpark

i personaly dont think the bottoms are any ware near crowded enough to warrent cleaning up yet, maybe soon,

It's not that bushy, it looks good. I suggest keep as many leaves as long as possible, especially for your 1st grow and a small plant without too many leaves.

If you start seeing nutrient deficiencies, most of the time it's gonna show up in the older bigger leaves on the bottom first, and you'll be able to see the signs and fix it before it spreads upwards. Those deficient leaves will eventually die, they will go completely yellow/brown and fall off, and that will be your natural defoliation.

My 1st grow i made a mistake and plucked all the lower leaves in the beginning of flower during the stretch, because i thought she was too bushy. Then after few weeks into flowering she started showing nutrient deficiency in the rest of the leaves i wanted to keep. But then i had to remove those as well because the leaves were dying. Then i had a shortage of leaves. And with not enough leaves, the formation of buds and sugars is much slower, resulting in lower yields and potency. Just keep all the leaves!

I would leave it, the plant isn't crowded in there and additional leaves only benefit a new grower. Leaves are your failsafe if anything goes wrong with the plant.

That flowering growth looks light for “ week 7 “ - this a perfect example of how a plant takes as long as necessary ( regardless of breeder hype ).
Give that plant all the time it needs - done when done no matter the weeks. Some factors in your grow has probably played into this so far.

clear undergrowth / power up and or adjust lighting height to canopy.
Tell us more about grow - strain / lights / feed / temps / etc.

I think he means week 7 from seed though, not 7 weeks into flower.
