First grow, white skunk feminized seeds. Are my plants growing at the right rate?
This is my first attempt at growing. Please see the attached photos. I germinated the seeds using the paper towel method which appeared to have gone ok. I initially had my seeds under a little plastic Propagator and they made rapid progress. However when I relocated the seeds to my grow room which I had planted in fibre pots (see photos) and placed them under the 125 watt CFl they appear to have stalled. I purchased the soil from a grow shop; I give each of the plants 1lt of water every 5-6 days (ph 6.3 ish). I’m currently using the 18/6 timing for the lights. I have an extractor fan and an Oscillating Fan at the bottom of my grow space. There is also fresh air entering my grow room which you can see to the right of the photo.
I transplanted the fibre pots into these bigger pots, approx 8 days ago. The temperature in the grow room is a 23-24 Celsius throughout the day, I purchased a digital thermostat to look after the temp for me. The light is approx 4 inches from the plants.
I believe my plants should stay under this CFL (blue) until they are ready for the next stage, flowering. When my plants are ready for the flowering stage I will transfer them to the flowering area which has a HPS 400 watt light.
I’m unsure if they are growing at the correct rate, they are approx 5 inches tall. They have already started to produce a nice smell; I made a carbon scrubber so hopefully it will do the job.
I watered them last Thursday and judging by the dampness of the clay I will probably water them this Wed evening. I’m planning on giving each of the plants 1lt of water and this time I want to include some IONIC soil grow.

Do think these plants are making satisfactory progress, for a first timer? Should I change anything?

Thanks

Hey there. Things sound and look good. Seems like your on track fella. You have done your homework huh. I would switch to the 400 once they hit about 10-12 inches and keep it like 3 feet away, moving it down by an inch every day down to around 8-10 inches. Good luck, jealous of your white skunk. Ps. Im first timer too.

hi BC
Thanks for the reply, things where going very slow at the beginning. but since i got the digital thermostat to keep the heat at 23-24 things have picked up. i'll keep that in mind re the HPS, i only have approx 5 foot of growing space, so i need to careful. I got the seeds in Amsterdam a few months ago, hopefully they will grow OK.

thanks

Hi Headbangaboogy

thanks for the reply, it's good to know that things on the right track. it's takes a lot of effort to build the room, purchase the kit and then try and grow the plants the right way...hopefully the white skunk will be nice......
