first grow white skunk - light question

Hi
I’m growing three white skunk plants under a 125 cfl for the last two weeks, I had a problem with the PH level of my water which I have now fixed. The plants appear to recovering and growing more leaves.

My question is, at what stage should I put my plants under the 400 HPS which I have. I was under the impression my 125cfl was for the veg stage and that I should only introduce the HPS when I switch to the flowering stage.

Thanks in advance

I would say let them go for another couple weeks and establish a decent root system first, then switch to your hps for the rest of your veg but keep it up like 3-4 feet for the first few days and slowly lower it maybe 4-6 inches every few days and watch them. This will give you more size IMO through the bulking of veg than your 125 watt cfl. Good luck ~ BCbuddy :leaf:

but be prepared to cool that 400 if your in a small space, you will need to exhaust all that hot air. Keep an oscillating fan on them when you switch to your 400 HPS. It will keep the heat spots down and improve stem strength for when you have heavy buds, a 400 grow can give you a good half pound or more dry of nice weed.
